Check for cleanliness of weigh feeder belt, rollers, encoder and junction box.
Check the belt for proper alignment.
Check all the wiring connections in junction box, if required tightened them.
Check encoder for tightening and proper functioning (whether slipping or not)
if it is getting slip then tighten it.
Checking of encoder coupling should be on regular basis for any wear and tear.
Check supply and signal voltages of load cell and encoder.
If possible check weigh feeder for empty calibration.
Take drop test to cross check actual feed rate with set point.
CALIBRATION PROCEDURE:-

1. First take the drop test and calculate the error.

2. Formula to calculate Error is:(Material Wt in field - Material calculated by controller) /
(Material calculated by controller)*100
3. If error exceeds 30% calibration is required and if it is less than this,
compensation can be done by changing value of coefficient factor in controller.
4. Coefficient factor calculation: - (Actual wt in field / Wt- calculated by controller)*Old coefficient
5. Enter this new coefficient in level 2 of the controller which has a
compensation range from 80% to120%.
6. After entering this new coefficient, take the drop test and calculate the error.
An error from -0.5 to + 0.5 is acceptable.
7. If the error falls out of this range than follow again the steps 3 onwards.
8. If error is more than 30% done calibration.
9. Adjust the mA output through amplifier card by span, gain and zero ports
10. For zero loads set mA from 2.1 to 2.6 and adjust mA
for particular wt through calculation.
11. After that take drop test and compensate error through changing coefficient factor.
