LIEUTENANT COLONEL A.

PETER FELTZ
Lt Col A. Peter Feltz joined Civil Air Patrol in 1987 in Phoenix, Arizona. His current positions
are: Director of Aerospace Education; Chairman of the Cadet Foundation; and member of the
Arizona Wing Finance Committee. He has held a variety of positions since joining CAP including: Deer Valley Squadron 302 Communications Officer and Squadron Commander; Group III
Commander; Arizona Wing Chief of Staff; Arizona Wing Vice Commander; and Director of
Operations. He has a Private Pilots license with over 1384 hours, CAP Senior Pilot rating. He
has been a CAP Mission Pilot and Cadet Orientation Pilot for many years in the past. He has
been a Staff member for NCASE in positions of Video Audio and 7 years as the Living History
Video Interviewer. He has also been a Staff Member in various positions over the past several
years, at Southwest Region Staff College at Kirkland AFB.
Lt Col Feltz was born in Chicago in 1929 and lived there until he moved to Arizona in 1957. He married Jacqueline in
1966 and has two children, a son and daughter and four grand children. He was employed in advertising and sales
department of the Chicago Sun Times newspaper for 11 years. In Arizona he is a licensed Insurance Agent for over 50
years and is currently retired. He spent two years in the US Army from 1951 to 1953. He was assigned to Korea for 18
months in an active combat zone. He has an Amateur Radio License sine 1962 and currently has a General Class rating. Call sign is K7YDJ.
