RESPONSIBILITIES AT PPL
PPL is the oldest E&P Company in Pakistan, my roles and responsibilities are mentioned below.

MECHANICAL (MONITORING AND INSPECTION)

Maintaining the equipment fitness for service and mechanical integrity of Pressure Vessel through NonIntrusive Inspection (NII) [using ToFD, Phased Array, Shear Wave UT, Ultrasonic A-Scan, CHIME etc].

Plan and execute Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and conventional inspection as per API standards, to
ensure reliability, Quality and Safety of equipment.

Communicate recommendations to Fields, specific to technical integrity of the equipment and other
relevant to inspection and corrosion monitoring.

Plan and supervise technical audit of plant and their associated chemical testing, treatment and analysis
against corporate level technical SOPs developed in-line with internationally acceptable standards.

Monitoring and checking the quality and execution of inspection and testing work to ensure timely
completion and avoid undue delays and responsible of centralize maintenance of documentation of
related reporting as per establish corporate level SOPs.

Plan, execute and lead troubleshooting of fixed equipment recurrent problems and apply root case
analysis (RCA) practices for equipment failure investigations.

Responsible of maintenance of documentation of technical inspection and corrosion monitoring &


analysis corporate level SOPs, and ensures updating of existing procedures and compliance with TAIMS
requirements with the coordination and consensus of Fields and departments relevant staff.

Involve in the development, implementation and maintenance of Inspection and Corrosion monitoring /
analysis system to all PPL operated fields / departments.

Involve the development and implementation of Integrity Performance indicators to ensure integrity of
equipment of their life cycle.

Involve in preparation of annual audit plan of related to procurement of material, consumables, and
construction / fabrication work.

Involve in the development and implementation of TAIMS / PS as applicable to Fields in coordination of


Field staff.

Follow up of corrective actions required to be taken by field against recommendations provide by


inspector in inspection report.

Carry out technical audit of PPL operated fields, to check mechanical integrity practices with
internationally acceptable standards and best engineering practices.

Plan, execute and supervise inspection jobs of piping including plant piping, gas gathering mains, feeder
lines, and wellhead assemblies using UT and LRUT, and inspection of pressure vessels and above
ground storage tanks.

Plan, execute and lead the implementation of Quality Assurance and Inspection activities form projects
design, construction, fabrication and erection to ensure total quality, this includes wielding, fabrication,

erection of Above Ground Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessel, Feeder line piping, Sand Blasting and 3P
coating of line pipes.

Ensure all corrective action works identified during inspections are completed to maintain the integrity of
the equipment.

Communicate threats to asset integrity of fixed equipment to operations and identify asset integrity
improvements for plant performance.

Developing and maintaining records of asset deterioration patterns and behaviors.

Lead QA, QC and inspection activities related to witnessing / calibration of PSVs and PSV test benches.

Attend Annual Turn Around (ATA) at all PPL operated Field (Sui, Adhi, Mazarani, Kandhkot) to verify the
activities with respect to generally acceptable international standards and companys corporate level
SOPs.

Support the asset integrity continuous improvement program incorporating strategies, codes of practice,
procedures, and guidelines.

Develop detail and comprehensive quality assurance / control / inspection plan for incoming material,
welding, surface finishing and painting.

Checking incoming materials as per codes and process standard specifications and dimensional checks
as per approved drawings.

Lead in establishment, implementation, certification and maintenance of Quality Management System


ISO 9001 at all PPL Fields and Departments.

Develop detail and comprehensive quality assurance and inspection plan.

Prepare Contract Document for procurement of material and acquisition of service with respect to
construction, repair and inspection activities encompass scope of work, criteria for Technical Evaluation
and list of milestones and delivers required for successful completion of work.

Review and provide technical inputs on quality assurance/control and inspection during the development
of equipment specifications, bid enquiry package and provision of engineering services for the purchase
of company supplied equipment / materials and acquisition of service.

Prepare specifications complying to codes and standards regulation and company requirements

Develop and review key quality assurance and inspection technical documents for projects development

Participate in development of Project Quality Assurance Plan, Inspection and Test Plan, and Construction
and Inspection procedures / technical guidelines.

Execute internal (QMS) of QMS ISO 9001 and technical audits for verifying existing practices against
QEM requirements of different field and departments have carried out up to date.

Identify areas for improvement using Six Sigma & SPC tool. Optimize quality assurance/control and
inspection approach for the facilities; establish / recommend best configuration; and analyze specific
requirement.

Also have responsibilities of Domain Experts of Business Continuity Management (BCM)

Monitor and supervise Mechanical construction and repair QA/QC works including Above Ground Storage
Tank, piping at Fields and new locations.

Prepare as-built drawings/documentation after completion of Mechanical works.

Participate in preparation of Invitation to Bid (ITB) including BOQ & drawings for Mechanical and other
construction works.

Planning and leading detail design/engineering works related to low pressure water, condensate, NGL &
oil tanks, construction drawings and complete specifications for manufacturing through local contractors.

Planning and leading design, drawings and specifications for high pressure transmission / distribution
gas, oil and water pipelines for construction through local fabricating contractors.

Prepare budgetary estimates for mechanical jobs as required by the operation departments.

Provide assistance in Implementing Health, Safety and Environment Protocols in all construction activities
for accident free operations.

Prepare and lead in preparation of mandatory procedures required by ISO 9001Standard for certification
of Design and Construction Department.

Ensure compliance of HSE policies and procedures by contractor staff during project execution phase at
Site.

Reporting all incidents including near misses to manager at HO for record and onward communication to
contractors for remedial actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AT INDUS MOTOR COMPANY


IMC is the leading Automobile Company, my roles and responsibilities are mentioned below.

Supervise production planning and material control activities of plant having 200 vehicles per day.

Execute MRP on SAP software two times in a month for local component parts which are procured
from Local Vendor in Pakistan; there are 70 Vendor of IMC all over the Pakistan

Daily reporting to top management about concern issues.

Procurement of imported and local parts through SAP.

Prepare performance report, daily production report, daily status report, daily stock report etc.

Capacity Planning and Forecasting of future production

Analysis of data by using statistical process control.

Actively involve in 5S and Kaizen activities
