Improving quality of life by creating basic amenities in all rural and urban
settlements.
Establishing truly empowered and effective district and local governments and
decentralizing power.
Establishing rule of law and ensuring that all people are treated equally without
favouratism or discrimination.
Ensuring social justice by building a new society in which a childs future is not
determined by birth, caste, family, region, religion or wealth.

Electoral reforms to make elections truly democratic, fair and transparent; to facilitate
and promote participation of the best men and women in India's political process; and
to curb electoral mal-practices.
Balanced distribution of functions between the union and the states and local
governments, together with allocation of adequate resources and devolution of powers
commensurate with their functions.
Lok Satta Partys goals are national, and unity and integrity of India are of
paramount concern to all of us. The new Partys concerns will transcend
religion, region, caste and language. Lok Satta Party will work with likeminded individuals and groups in all regions and states to build a nationwide movement for a new political culture.
To establish a new political culture which will place the citizen at the
centre of governance;
To protect the unity and integrity of India at all times and create a secular
and just republic in which the citizen will be the true sovereign
To establish a people-centric democratic polity based on liberty, selfgovernance, empowerment of citizens, rule of law and self-correcting
institutional mechanisms.
