The obtained results showed large discrepancies between the theoretical and

experimental values of the center of pressure, where the experimental ones were
larger than the theoretical ones.
The difference between the two values were smaller in the total immersion
region (y >= 10cm) than in the partial immersion region. These discrepancies
might be a result of errors occurred in the
experimental procedures or apparatus; following are some of the possible errors
that might have caused the large discrepancies:
1. Neglecting the weights of the balance and the pan.
2. Errors in determining the depth "y", either due to errors in taking the reading
from the vernier or from parallax errors in determining the touching point
between the water surface and the pin of themeasuring device.

Another result that I noted was related to the fact that with increasing the depth
of immersion, the center of pressure should get closer to the centroid, this fact
was correct in the total immersion region but in the partial immersion the results
showed random variation.
Edit
The results showed no significant difference between the theoretical and
experimental values of the pressure center, where the reading experiment and
reading theory is almost the same. This discrepancy may result from errors that
occur in experimental procedures or apparatus; following are some possible
errors that might have caused a big difference:
1. Ignoring weight about and pans.
2. Errors in determining the depth of the "y", either due to errors in taking a
reading from the vernier or from parallax error in determining the touch point
between the water surface and pin measuring device.

Another result which I mentioned in connection with the fact that with increasing
immersion depth, center of pressure to get closer to the centroid, this fact is
correct in the region but the total immersion partial immersion results showed
random changes.

From the experiment that have being done, we can conclude that the experiment was successfully carried out
even though there is difference in the theoretical value and experimental value. There is no relative motion
between the fluid particles. The only stress will be normal stress which equal to the pressure.
Thus, to overcome the error occured, the water poured during the experiment must be ensured that perfectly
reach the limit. Other than that, there is maybe an error due to the instrument and also surrounding. Hence,
to get an accurate result, the experiment must being done in ideal condition.

safety
It is important to be careful while moving the apparatus because it could fall and hart someone
INTRODUCTION

Hydrostatic pressure is the pressure exerted by a fluid at equilibrium due to the force of gravity.[1] A
fluid in this condition is known as a hydrostatic fluid. The hydrostatic pressure can be determined from
a control volume analysis of an infinitesimally small cube of fluid. Since pressure is defined as the
force exerted on a test area), and the only force acting on any such small cube of fluid is the weight of
the fluid column above it, hydrostatic pressure can be calculated according to the following formula:
from the results we have obtained, we found that when 0.5N load was applied, the required water level is
0.038m. when the added weight of the water content should also be increased to balance the scale of the
water level. From the results of our calculations, for load 0.5n the centroid is 0.019m and moment of area is
3.430x10. Therefore, the value obtained is 0.531n. We found that the pressure between theory and
experiment tidalah insignificant. the difference is only 0.001m
There are some errors that take place during conducting this experiment which may give effect to the result
obtained. First, there is parallax error. This error may occur during taking the reading of the water level. To
overcome this error, the observers eye must be 90o perpendicular to the water level in order to get the
accurate measurement. Next, error may take place during pouring the water. This happen when the water
poured over the limit that should be poured.
