{DIY} Baby bib with pocket

I made these bibs with a fold-over pocket for our little boy because he always drops
his food everywhere on the floor. These bibs save me cleanup time after each meal.
The ones I found in store are mostly made of plastic, but I prefer fabric bibs (they
catch my little boys drooling better). So, I decided to make these for him by myself!
You can download the sewing pattern I design here: bib with pocket sewing pattern.
This sewing pattern is designed to be printed on multiple pages of letter size papers.
You will have to put together the pattern after printing. Make sure to print on actual
size. (This sewing pattern is for personal use only. It is NOT for commercial use &
NOT for redistribution, please!)
MATERIALS & TOOLS

fabrics (I use Flowies wave fabric, and splash fabric)

scissors
snap buttons
sewing machine
fusible interfacing
matching threads

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut fabrics.

2. Iron a piece of fusible interfacing on to the wrong side of the back piece, roughly at
the location of the neck tie piece (or bow tie piece).
3. Use fabric glue to temperately attach the neck tie piece (or bow tie piece) to the
right side of the front piece. Place it about 7/8 from top edge.
4. Sew the neck tie piece (or bow tie piece) to the front piece using zigzag stitches.

5. Sew two pocket pieces together, right side to right side. Fold in half at the stitched
line.
6. Top stitch the edge of the pocket.
7. Sew the pocket to the right side of the back piece. Stitch 1/4 away from edge.

8. Pin and sew the front piece and back piece together, right side to right side. Leave
a 3 opening on the side to turn inside out.
9. Cut notches of seam allowance at the curve to make the fabric turn under more
smoothly. Also, clip off the extra seam allowance at the corners.
10. Apply snap buttons according to the package instruction.

11. All done!
