ENCAPSULATING QUALITY

WITHIN CLASSROOMS

Dr. Dheeraj Mehrotra (Author & National Awardee)

Quality, Quality and Quality when defined for a product enhances its capability but with
service like that of education has a great approach of uncertainty as it is desired out of a
delivery of commitment and patience form both the stakeholders viz. the students and the
teachers. The Quality essence in Academics is a priority to deliver pride and governeance to
the stroke of excellence in schools and educational institutes now. The technological progress
and the spectrum of MOOCS, Massive Open Online Course, has yeilded with conjunction
the lamination in a big way in particular. Not many parents get to devise this as a requirement
for their wards who are admitted for a say in the school to alls surprise and awe in particular.
The concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) was developed by an American, W.
Edwards Deming, after World War II for improving the production quality of goods and
services. The concept was not taken seriously by Americans until the Japanese, who adopted

it in 1950 to resurrect their postwar business and industry, used it to dominate world markets
by 1980. By then most U.S. manufacturers had finally accepted that the nineteenth century
assembly line factory model was out dated for the modern global economic markets.
The class of 2015 runs with a learning inception of GOOGLE presence among the stake
holders as a key to learning for the mass media is governed of reputed knowledge with
updates. The showcase of online and the social presence makes it a more friendly and
innovative. Quality within schools deliver as a bonded expectation by the stake holders which
deliver the very pace of priorities. The schools demand of Quality and Essence in particular
as an everlasting activity but the say is harvested with march of time for classrooms to
explore the best with the march of time and tide. With CCE and SQAA in action, there is but
a probability to deliver now, keeping the novel expectations by the stake holders, primarily
the students and parents.

Study & Inception:

With the inception of Quality Governence over priority within schools, the Quality capsules
generate preferences over the monotonus classroom culture of Revise your work, Put your
head down and go to sleep, Dont talk alarm the children of boredom and irritation. The
pexplexing environment salutes some changes which are immediate on prefernces over the
existing surfaces. In a TQM (Total Quality Management) based school environment,
everyone is both a Consumer and a Contributor; this confusing concept emphasizes the
systematic nature of the work in which all are involved. In other words, teamwork and
collaboration are essential. Traditionally, education has been prone to individual and
departmental isolation. However, according to Bonstingl, one of my good friends from the
US, this outdated practice no longer serves us: When I close the classroom door, those kids
are mine! is a notion too narrow to survive in a world in which teamwork and collaboration

result in high-quality benefits for the greatest number of people. The very application of the
first pillar of TQM to education emphasizes the synergistic relationship between the
suppliers and customers. The concept of synergy suggests that performance and
production is enhanced by pooling the talent and experience of individuals. The academic
cult in schools fragment the discovery of Quality as a habit rather than an occasional
occurance. The priority is to catch them young and innocent !
The world of learning is penetrated with the inception of technology and the base of learning
no longer being limited to the four walls of the classroom or the lecture theatre. In a
classroom, teacher-student teams are the equivalent of industrys front-line workers. The
product of their successful work together is the development of the students capabilities,
interests, and character. In one sense, the student is the teachers customer, as the recipient of
educational services provided for the students growth and improvement. Viewed in this way,
the teacher and the school are suppliers of effective learning tools, environments, and systems
to the student, who is the schools primary customer. The school is responsible for providing
for the long-term educational welfare of students by teaching them how to learn and
communicate in high-quality ways, how to access quality in their own work and in that of
others, and how to invest in their own lifelong and life-wide learning processes by
maximizing opportunities for growth in every aspect of daily life. In another sense, the
student is also a worker, whose product is essentially his or her own continuous improvement
and personal growth.
Conclusion:
The Quality awareness within schools need to govern with the psay of making every child
responsible and feel good with the nomenclature and activies going on within the classrooms/
practical sessions and on-line interactions. Within a Total Quality school setting,

administrators work collaboratively with their customers: teachers. Gone are the vestiges of
Scientific management whose watchwords were compliance, control and command. The
foundations for this system were fear, intimidation, and an adversarial approach to problemsolving. Today it is in our best interest to encourage everyones potential by dedicating
ourselves to the continual improvement of our own abilities and those of the people with
whom we work and live. Total Quality is, essentially, a win-win approach which works to
everyones ultimate advantage. The classroom demands a Quality Teacher, A Quality
Teaching, A Quality Environment and above all a Quality Education Management with
inception of 21st Century Teaching skills in momentum of taste.
The spectrum is universal with the advent of more lessons and knowledge being uploaded
and shared via scores of modules and social interactions. The preface is delivered with cult of
happenning and sculption in particular. As an ongoing activity, TQM as applied in academics
is the recognition of the organization as a system and the work done within the organization
must be seen as an ongoing process. The primary implication of this principle is that
individual students and teachers are less to blame for failure than the system in which they
work. Quality speaks to working on the system, which must be examined to identify and
eliminate the flawed processes that allow its participants to fail. Since systems are made up of
processes, the improvements made in the quality of those processes largely determine the
quality of the resulting product. In the new paradigm of learning, continual improvement of
learning processes based on learning outcomes replaces the outdated teach and test mode.
In order to achieve the above as opportunities to the academic scenario, in addition to
patience, participatory management among well-trained and educated partners is crucial to
the success of TQM in education; everyone involved must understand and believe in
principles. Some personnel who are committed to the principles can facilitate success with

TQM. Their vision and skills in leadership, management, interpersonal communication,

problem solving and creative cooperation are important qualities for successful
implementation of TQM. The fact lies in socia as Education in Modern societies has more to
do with changing knowledge than with conserving it and more to do with diffusing culture to
wider social circles or from one society to another. The lamination is desired of preference to
culture in excellence towards making the beneficieres happy and supportive in totality. It is
high time that we club ourselves with the new robe of technology and deliver the learning of
a new mechanism and empowerment to the masses who with the Generation Next of taste are
already prepared eagerly to take the change via desire. The requirements of the new age
ponder with the routine demand of the students to deliver the best via showcasing of
technology and cyber street smart individuals who take children as new age ICT Users to
furnish their IT Savvyness to IT Strong in particular. The objective has to be to catch them
young and innocent with the prize of making every child a Gift of GOD of mankind and a
price of the Human Race. The Total Quality Culture not only defines and declares the artistic
characteristic of Just In Time (JIT) but also follows the zero defect technique of teaching
learning process in particular.
The KAIZEN philosophy with a say to improve to deliver and excellence being just a journey
within schools but a destination. Quality is densed through Total Quality Management as a
mantra towards success within academics however it applicates in a different role to explore.
The teachers need to be real practicioners of Quality through delivery of Mode/ Method/
Misconception and Much of the Man, Method, Environment and Others so count towards the
Problem Solving tools for the education delivery in particular. Let us come together to dwell
into the probable causes of DISTRACTIONS IN CLASSROOMS and think over the ideas to
explore quality delivery through TQM in practice. Also the delivery has to be made of the
fact that the most important factor that gives one teacher an edge over the other is the

innovation in teaching technology. This governes in totality as one of the requisites for
Quality essence in action.
