pool built adjacent to the
beach has a reputation for
scoring a notoriously high
points with guests, giving the

a stellar view of coconut
trees swaying amidst sea
breezes and the oceanic

infinity pool is the perfect
place to relax and unwind

The Russian Banya (sauna) is
one of the oldest Russian
traditions and it is one of
Villa Daniallas most unique
offerings. Built by our very
own Russian guests who
are also specialists of the
air base jet fighters, they
decided to move it to Villa
Danialla so whenever they
come to visit, they are able
to use the Banya and enjoy
the infinity pool to complete
and heighten the Hot &
Cold Treatment. Like any
proper Banya, Villa Danialla
offers Venik Massage to
enhance the experience. A
Venik is a bundle of birch,
oak, or eucalyptus branches
bound together, and when
massaged over the body, it
facilitates the dilation of

Tok Bali rural district.
You may also opt to
go horseback riding by
the white sandy beach.
Explore the beaten
path and discover the
wonders of the Stong
Waterfall and the
rejuvenating powers of
the La Hot Springs.
A 40-minutes journey by car
will take you to Kota Bharu,
the state capital and royal seat
of Kelantan. Shopping and
sightseeing in Kota Bharu could
only be regarded as a colourful
experience, and it would not be
complete without a visit to the
iconic Pasar Besar Siti Khadijah
(Siti Khadijah Market). Take your
pick from intricate hand crafted
souvenirs, dazzling jewelries and
silverware, delicious savouries
to the unique and colourful giant
kites or wau. Talk with the
vendors and they would be more
than happy to take you through
the stories about their products
and if youre lucky, even let you
taste them for free! Its truly an
assault on all senses and a true
manifestation of local hospitality.

Within Kelantan and especially

in Kota Bharu, a thriving cottage
industry produces extremely
unique and exquisite local
products. Two of the most
popular products are the world
renowned Songket and Batik.
Songket Malaysias Cloth
of Gold is an extremely rich
and lustrous ceremonial fabric.
Hand-woven in silk or cotton, it
is intricately patterned in gold
or sometimes silver threads.
The making of this luxurious
item remains as one of leading
cottage industries in Kelantan.
At Kampung Penambang, about
4km from Kota Bharu, there are
several famous songket-weaving
workshops managed by royal
weavers.
Meanwhile, for centuries, Batik
has captured the imagination of
art and craft lovers from all over
the world. The Kelantan Batik
in particular is recognizable
by its distinctive pattern and
vivid colours. All Kelantan
Batik are hand-made right
from sketching, waxing by the
age old art of canting, and
colouring using dyes. There are
Batik factories and showrooms
in abundance around Kota
Bharu and we would be glad
to arrange a visit to the best
of these factories at your
convenience.

GETTING THERE
BY AIR

BY LAND

BY RAILS

Four airline companies

operate daily on the Kuala
LumpurKota Bharu route,
providing you with the easiest
travel option; Malaysia Airlines
(MAS), AirAsia, Firefly and
Malindo. Malaysia Airlines
departs from KLIA (domestic),
AirAsia departs from KLIA2,
and Malindo and Firefly
departs from Subang Airport.
Some of the airlines also
fly from other cities within
Malaysia to Kota Bharu. Once
arrived at Kota Bharu Airport
(or Sultan Ismail Petra Airport),
you may take a taxi or rent a
car to drive to Villa Danialla.
Alternatively, do let us know
of your arrival date and time,
and we will arrange for your
transport.

There is an excellent network

of roads linking the major
towns in Peninsular Malaysia
to Kelantan. From Kuala
Lumpur, take the overland
route eastward along the
Karak Highway to Kuantan.
Head towards Kota Bharu and
you will soon see signs to Tok
Bali, which is only 40-minutes
north of the city. The cheapest
way to reach Villa Danialla
is by coach. There are quite
a number of bus operators
that have daily busses driving
between Kota Bharu and
many other locations within
Peninsular Malaysia. From the
main bus terminal in Hentian
Putra (opposite the PWTC) in
Kuala Lumpur, a couple of
busses a day leaves towards
Kota Bharu. The trip from
Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu
by bus will take around 7 to
8 hours.

For the more adventurous,

you may take the train to Kota
Bharu. There is only one direct
Kuala Lumpur-Kota Bharu
train (The Senandung Wau) in
either direction that operates
overnight daily along the
Jungle Railway up through
the centre of Peninsular
Malaysia. This sleeper train
service offers comfortable
beds / berths so you can
travel and get a relatively good
nights sleep. It stops at the
Wakaf Baru station, some 5km
from the city of Kota Bharu.
