When you move the cursor top of the screen, the menu title bar comes up, and then you can access
to various menus.

Route Planning

To create the route, enter the waypoint (WPT) by the following two methods.

Starting the Route Planning

1 Press the [ROUTE PLAN] key on the operation panel.


The Table Editing Mode starts, and then the Table Editing Screen comes up.

2 Left-click the [Graphic Editor] button to switch from the Table Editing Mode to the Graphic Editing
Mode.
Then the Graphic Editing Mode starts and the Graphic Editing Screen comes up.
* If you switch the mode while creating the route, created contents are taken over to the other mode.
Creating the New Route

3 Left-click the [New] button. You can create a new route.


Editing the Created Route

3 Left-click the [Open] button. The [Open Route File] panel opens.
4 Select the route you want to edit, and then left-click the [OK] button.
The selected route opens.

Inserting the New WPT

1 Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to insert the WPT. The rows color changes to blue.

Left-click the [Insert] button.


Then the new WPT is inserted, the later WPTs are shifted downward one by one.

Left-click the leg you want to insert the WPT.


The cross cursor changes to the edit cursor.

Move the cursor to the position you want to insert, and then left-click.
Then the new WPT is inserted, the later WPTs numbers are increased one by one.

1 Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to delete the WPT. The rows color changes to blue.
2 Left-click the [Delete] button.
Then the WPT is deleted, the later WPTs are shifted upward one by one.

Then the WPT is deleted, the later WPTs numbers are decreased one by one.

Dividing the Leg

1 Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to divide the leg. The rows color changes to blue.
2 Left-click the [Divide] button.
The [Divide Route WPT X to WPT X+1] panel opens. (X, X+1WPT number)

3 Enter the interval, and then left-click the [OK] button.


[Every(Lon)] : dividing the leg by the longitude
[Every] : dividing the leg by the distance
The [Divide Route WPT X to WPT X+1] panel closes, and then the leg is divided.

Checking the WPT on the Chart

Left-click the WPT number of the row you want to check the WPT. The rows color changes to blue.

Left-click the [View Sync] button.


The [View Sync] buttons color is highlighted, and then the selected WPT is displayed on the center
of chart.

While the buttons color is highlighted, you can continue these operations.
Left-clicking the [View Sync] button switches ON and OFF.

Moving the WPT

Left-click the [Insert/Move WPT] button.

Left-click the WPT you want to move.


The cross cursor changes to the edit cursor.

Move the cursor to the position you want to transfer, and then left-click.
The WPT is moved.

1 Left-click the [Add] button.


2 Left-click the W000 or the last WPT.
3 Move the cursor to the position you want to add, and then left-click.

Creating the Alternate Route [Create Alternate Route] menu

1 Select the original route from the [ROUTE] drop-down list on the display panel.
The selected route is displayed on the chart.

2 Select and left-click [Create Alternate Route] from the menu.

3 The method of creating the alternate route is same as the Graphic Editing Mode.

1 Left-click the [Save] button.


The alternate route is saved as the temporary file TEMP.

Tick the [Vector] box, and then left-click the [Apply] or [OK] button.
The alarm sounds when the vector passes through the safety contour.
Modify the [Length] and [Width] of the vector, if required.
To disable the alarm, untick the [Vector] box.

Carry out the following menu operation to modify the setting value of the safety contour, if required.

Select and left-click [S-57/C-MAP/ARCS] from the menu.

Enabling the Arrival Last WPT Alarm

1 Select and left-click [Alarm Setting] from the menu.

2 Tick the [Arrival Last WPT] box, and then left-click the [Apply] or [OK] button.
You can set the alarm when the own ship reaches the point of XX minutes before the own ship
arrives at the last WPT.
Modify the setting time, XX, if required.
To disable the alarm, untick the [Arrival Last WPT] box.
To close the [Alarm Limit Setting] panel, left-click the [OK] button.

Select and left-click [Alarm Setting] from the menu.

Tick the [Off Course] box, and then left-click the [Apply] or [OK] button.
The alarm sounds when the heading of the own ship exceeds more than the setting angle.
Modify the setting angle, if required.
To disable the alarm, untick the [Off Course] box.
To close the [Alarm Limit Setting] panel, left-click the [OK] button.

Enabling the XTD Alarm

1 Select and left- click [Use XTD Alarm] from the menu.

the planning course.
Selecting the menu switches ON and OFF.

Select and left-click [Create Monitoring Circle] from the menu.

The [Monitoring Dragging Anchor] panel opens.

The longitude and latitude in the [Monitoring Circle] item is the center of the monitoring circle.
(default: the heading forward position)
Left-clicking on the chart can also set the position as the center of the monitoring circle

Own Ship

Enter the radius of the monitoring circle in the [Radius] field.

Left-click the [OK] button. The [Create Monitoring Circle] panel is closed, and then the monitoring
circle is displayed on the chart.
The alarm sounds when the own ship deviates from the monitoring circle.
To clear the monitoring circle, select and left-click [Clear Monitoring Circle] from the menu.

AIS/TT

The AIS information received from the AIS and the TT information received from the radar can be
displayed on the chart.

The AIS/TT target (*) is displayed on the chart.
Pressing the [AIS/TT] key switches display or not.

(*) The displayed AIS/TT target is the one selected by the following menu operation.
Select and left-click [TT1], [TT2], [AIS], or [All] from the menu.
The selected target is displayed on the chart, and then the tick () is marked in the menu.

Narrowing down the display of the AIS target [AIS/TT Setting] menu

1 Select and left-click [AIS/TT Setting] from the menu.

2 Select the [Display] from the [Filter Mode] drop-down list in the [AIS filter] item.
3 Tick the [Ring] and [Sector] box in the [AIS filter] item, and then left-click the [Apply] or [OK] button.
The filter is enabled, and then only AIS target in the setting range of [Ring] and [Sector] is displayed.

To disable the filter, untick the [Ring] and [Sector] box.
Ticking the [Filter Display] box of the [AIS filter] displays the setting range of [Ring] and [Sector] on

Activating the AIS Target

[Activate AIS] menu

The AIS target is deactivated in default. (Sleeping AIS target)

1 Right-click on the chart to open the context menu, and then left-click [Activate AIS].

2 Move the cursor to the AIS target, and left-click.


The AIS target is activated, the vector is displayed.

Deactivating the AIS Target

[Deactivate AIS] menu

1 Right-click on the chart to open the context menu, and then left-click [Deactivate AIS].

The cross cursor changes to the box cursor.

2 Move the cursor to the activated AIS target, and left-click.


The AIS target is deactivated (becomes the sleeping AIS target), the vector is disappeared.

1 Select and left-click [Deactivate All AIS] from the menu.

All activated AIS targets are deactivated (become the sleeping AIS targets), the vectors are

Displaying Information of the AIS/TT Target [All List] menu


Select and left-click [All List] from the menu.

The [All List] panel opens.

Left-click either the [TT1], [TT2], or [AIS] tab.


Information of the AIS/TT targets are displayed by each targets ID, respectively.
Left-click the [Close] button to close the [All List] panel.

Details of information on AIS can be displayed.
Left-click the [View AIS Detail] button to open the [AIS Information] panel.

Enabling the Dangerous Target Alarm [AIS/TT Setting] menu

1 Press the [AIS/TT] key on the operation panel to display the AIS target on the chart.
The dangerous alarm sounds when an AIS target comes into the setting range of CPA and TCPA.

Carry out the following menu operation to modify the setting range, if required.

2 Select and left-click [AIS/TT Setting] from the menu.

Calculating the Distance [Distance Measurement] menu

1 Select the route from the [ROUTE] drop-down list on the display panel.
The selected route is displayed on the chart.

2 Select and left-click [Distance Measurement] from the menu.

3 Select the starting and end point in the [From] and [To] drop-down list, respectively.
If you select the [Waypoint], select the waypoint number from the [WPT No.] drop-down list.

drop-down list.
The calculation result is displayed in the [Distance] field.
Left-click the [Close] button to close the [Distance Measurement] panel.

Calculating the ETA from the Ship Speed

1 Left-click the [CALC] tab on the display panel.

2 Select the WPT number of the destination from the [DEST] drop-down list.
The distance from the own ship to the destination is displayed.
The input value or the actual ship speed as the ship speed can be selected.

3 Left-click the [Actual] button to switch to [CALC], and then enter the ship speed in the [SPD] box.
The [CALC] and [Actual] button can be switched just one click.
The estimated time of arrival is calculated and displayed in the [ETA] field.

The ship speed to arrive at the destination by the ETA is calculated and displayed in the [SPD] field.

Entering the Symbol

1 Left-click the [Symbol] tab.

2 Select type of the symbol, and left-click. (ex. [Circle])


3 Move the cursor to the position you want to enter the symbol, and left-click.
The symbol is entered.

To abort entry, right-click on the chart to open the context menu, and then left-click the [Abort].

Drawing the Line

1 Left-click the [Line] tab.

2 Select type of the line, and left-click. (ex. [Simple Line])


3 Move the cursor to the starting position of the line, and left-click.

If you want to continue to draw, repeat these operations.

To abort drawing, right-click on the chart to open the context menu, and then left-click the [Abort].
