Date of birth: Asoj 7, B. S. 1976 (1919 AD)
Pustun Gaon, Lamjung

Parents: Gauri Shankar Sharma and Draupadi

Mother died when he was two and half years
old
Siblings: 3 half sisters and 1 half brother

 Married at age of 14 with Gauri Pokharel (8

yrs), 2 daughters Shanti and Kanti
Gauri died in 2003 at age 21
2nd marriage with Mahakali Adhikari in 2005;
4 daughters Manju, Usha, Kiran and Jyoti;
and 2 sons Indiwar and Rajeev
Father died 2011

Childhood
His childhood was spent in Lamjung District
Spent lot of time in lekh with his father. He
was unable to develop close ties with his
cousins. He became used to his loneliness
and found solace in the natural beauty of his
environment
His father was a good singer and could bring
listeners to cry while reciting slokas and
poems

Education
At home after bratmandha (at 6) and by a Jogi
Formal education started very late
- jyotishi at age of 12 (thuli aama)
- Bhasha pathsala at 15 (sasurali)
- Sanskrit pathsala at 17
- Sampurna Madhyama from Queens
college, Banaras at 20
- Sarba Darshan Shastri at 24
