ABSTRACT
Raising an autistic child can undoubtedly be a very demanding experience for the whole family, considering
parents as well as children, in general. As far as the present review study is concerned, the contribution of the
family in the education and health development of autistic children has been pointed out. Moreover, the needs
and problems of those families are presented together with some measures that ought to be taken in order to
support all family members - which refer to parents as well as siblings, if there are any - in order to enable them
to have positive results in their effort.
