4. You must submit your hardcopy assignment to your Fasilitator according to the due date.

5. Your assignment should be prepared individually. You should not copy another persons
assignment. You should also not plagiarise another persons work as your own.
EVALUATION
This assignment accounts for 50% of the total marks for the course.

ASSIGNMENT 2

PURPOSE:
The purpose of the assignment in this course is to enable the students to prepare a complete
research proposal, which could be used to conduct an independent research, relevant to his/her
area of interest in the future. The assignment shall be done in two parts; namely, Assignment 1
and Assignment 2. Assignment 1 will focus more on laying the foundation of the research effort;
while Assignment 2 will continue from there and dwell specifically on the research process.
REQUIREMENT:
Making intelligent, informed decisions are critical to the success of all organisations. More often
than not, this usually requires the organisations to engage in some forms of research. In this
assignment you are required to continue preparing the causal research proposal as a continuation of
Assignment 1. You are not required to do any fieldwork. For Assignment 2, please follow the
structure below:
D. PROPOSED RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
1. Research Design
Discuss how the research will be executed to achieve the proposed research
objectives. The research design must be relevant to research area. The research
approach must be able to achieve the listed research objectives. Please refer to any
thesis, journals and conference papers prior to choosing the appropriate approach
to conduct the proposed research. Provide at least FOUR (4) literatures to justify the
selected approach (Refer to your Literature Review section).
State clearly the research setting experiment (laboratory or field) versus survey or
case study. This should clearly explain how the research will be conducted.
Include the instruments that you would use to collect the data for the research. The
instrument should be placed in the Appendix section, after the Reference section.

2. Data Collection and Analytical Methods
Discuss in detail the data collection procedure that will be used to conduct the
research.
Discuss the sample selection procedure and the sampling framework (where
necessary).
Discuss the proposed data analysis process and the proposed analytical methods
that would be used.
Explain how the research results will be validated and evaluated (for example the
use of benchmarking, data sets, case studies and others)

E. REFERENCES
Use a consistent style of referencing (APA 5th Edition). All articles, books mentioned in the text must
be cited in the Reference section. The questionnaire source must also be cited. The bibliography
section should at least consist of a minimum of 20 references including all of the following: books,
journals, online resources and magazines.
