I. Background and Rationale of the Project

a. Situational Analysis and Project Justification in Relation to the Problem
In the Division of Camarines Sur, almost 75% of the Secondary
Schools are enjoying the benefits of computer technology. Researches and
the likes are become more accessible. Students widen their horizons in just
few touches on the computer keyboards. Their reports and projects are
outstandingly presented because of their technological know-how.
However, with these entire fast pacing advancement in technology,
Inoyonan High School students were deprived of such. Most of them were
blind in terms of manipulating computers. Surfing the internets, the social
networks such as the twitters and the facebooks were all aliens to them.
This is the right time to bridge the gap between the known and the
unknown.

b. Description of the Project

This proposal aimed of conducting SPECIAL BASIC
COMPUTER EDUCATION PROGRAM for interested students of
Inoyonan High School. The proponent of this program noted that, the
target recipients of this program are in dire need of the skills in computer.
Graduates of the school who are fortunately pursuing their studies in
college reported that they have difficulty coping with their studies/reports
because of their not knowing of the technology.
Relative to the program of the Department of Education of
developing the performance level of students, there must be interventions
that would interest them. Introducing learning materials that will motivate
them to learn, to make abstract ideas and concepts better understood and
to a semblance of a true experience.
The proponents optimism of teaching the special course in
computer is back up with her qualifications. She completed the Basic
Computer Operation offered by the Provincial Government of Camarines
Sur in cooperation with Technical Education and Skills Development
Authority (TESDA) last April 10 to June 10 of 2002. She ranked second
among their batch thus, received the Special Award for computer
proficiency during the graduation.
II. Project Objectives
1. To improve the performance level of students in all learning areas.
2. To develop students skills in computer.
3. Students could enjoy the art of studying and learning.
III. Importance of the Project

terms of technology. They will enjoy learning and studying.
