relation represented by the house in which its sign Sagittarius
falls, particularly in cases in which Jupiter in such a position is
afflicted too. For example, in regard to exhalted Jupiter in the
8th house of a birth chart with ketu, the author of Dev Kerala
remarks at page 130

i.e. The eldest sister of father will become a widow but will
live long. Please refer to the position of Jupiter in the sketch
given below. It will be observed that while the relation
represented by the first house containing Sagittarius ie the
husband of the 7th (the elder sister of fathe*, being 11th from
9th - the house of father) suffers because of 3 disabilities viz.
(A) location in 8th from lagna of the said husband (B) locotion
in 8th from lagna and (C) location with malefic Ketu, the sister
of the father benefits in the matter of longevity due to the
benefic aspect of the Jupiter on the house 8th tb the 7th. The
death of the said husband, it would be noted, has been due to
8th position of, Jupiter from lagna and its affliction.
