Loading the RecoverPoint Simulator

Loading the RecoverPoint Simulator

To load the simulator:
1. Start your chosen VMware pre-requisite software and then launch
the simulator by opening the RP_Ferdinand_Sim_D.210.vmx file.
This will initiate the 4. 1 virtual machine.
Note: The virtual machine is currently set to use 4GB of
memory. Ensure you have sufficient amount of memory before
initiating the virtual machine.
Note: Ignore the VMtools update message.
2. Once the virtual machine has completed booting wait 5 minutes to
allow the configuration scripts to complete the underlying set-up
of the environment.
3. At the login prompt, enter the username: ip, and the password:
ip. This will not log you into the simulator but will display the IP
address needed to connect to the simulator. Look for the text,
Simulator IP is, and note the IP address display after this text.
Note: The first time you start the simulator, you may see a notice
that the configuration has changed and you may be asked whether
you copied a new virtual machine or moved an existing virtual
machine. Select copied (default) and not moved.
4. Click Ctrl+Alt to release the cursor in order to move it back to
your operating system.
5. Open your browser windows and enter the following URL
