Fund Management Leader puts SHOR Associates at

Centre of Innovative New Enterprise
Property leader, Robert Houston, is starting a fund
and asset management alliance. In an innovative
move, SHOR Associates will work at its centre.
Robert Houston, who recently stepped down as Global CEO for ING Real
Estate Investment - where he was responsible for €65bn of funds under
management - has a new enterprise: St Bride’s Business Alliance. It is a
group of property enterprises that combine to provide a comprehensive fund
and asset management service. Robert has become a Director of each of
the companies.
Two financial organisations drive the alliance. First, St Bride’s Fund
Managers, headed by Stephen Pyne, focuses on delivering attractive long
term returns and at the same time providing a first class client service. Second,
St Bride’s Strategic Advisers, headed by Robert Houston himself, will provide
support and advice to investors, institutions, corporate businesses and financial
organisation.
Also in the alliance is two asset management companies. First, Morgan
Capital Partners, headed by Trevor Morgan, one of the City’s best known
property advisers, offer a full investment and asset management service
focusing on office properties in Central London, with an emphasis on the City
and Midtown. Second, Oxygen Asset Management, headed by Mike Harris &
Aston Woodward – who are asset managers in all sectors of the UK
commercial property market.
SHOR Associates work focuses on creating value, from building
reconfiguration, to renovation, fitting-out, refurbishment and
redevelopment. With experience of over 2 million sq ft occupied space, their
team understands the importance of space efficiency and occupier
requirements, and has considerable skill in property PR and marketing - space
and floor plans, 3D visualisations, photography, and design illustrations.
Robert Houston has said on their involvement: ‘SHOR Associates are an

both property developers and office occupiers has proved invaluable. It amazes

The alliance was launched this week in Property Week exclusive. It will
operate out of 5 St Bride Street, London EC4, which is just off Ludgate
Circus.

Added to the mix is SHOR Associates, a design and planning consultancy

specialising in the commercial office market. The company was formed in
1990 and advises landlords, developers, tenants and owner occupiers on how
to obtain the highest return from their office investment. It is headed by
Richard Bennett, a highly-respected accommodation strategist and chartered
architect.
