Before I joined to FLL,I felt nervous because I was afraid that if I couldn't follow it so well
because when I was at Senior High School. English lesson on very little because I was
majoring in science knowledge,My English was also less and I didn't know why I am
majoring in this now,I also confused. When I was in the state senior high school I have never
thought about pronunciation course. So I was here for my first time I got a lesson about
pronunciation course. I thought that pronunciation course was not important because I
thought it was not affect to the means, but it was wrong. If it was wrong pronunciation,it
could be a different meaning. I hope pronunciation course would be able to help me in the
process of learning how I was here. And helped me to improve my pronunciation.
And it was true..
I was greatly helped with the pronunciation course . Pronunciation is very important to learn
if you want to have good English skills. I never thought that pronunciation course was also
quite difficult because I usually spoke with indonesian so my tongue was not correct and it
would be difficult to adapt. Sometimes I have fold up as much tongue so that it could be a
good pronunciation until sometimes my saliva went out .In here I got many kinds such as
vowels,stress word,schwa,continuants and stops,focus word,and voicing.
Why do we need to learn English pronunciation? Because the pronunciation is the greatest
thing that can be seen from English language. We have to learn even if we assume that we are
able to communicate in English.
Pronunciation sometimes cause headaches for people who are just learning English because
there are some sounds in the English language that are not in our language. In addition, please
note that the spelling a word not always accurately can help to determine how the word is
pronounced. And pronunciation a word not always be helpful to know the spelling
Sometimes I felt difficult to find the stress word,because almost the same,I have to be very
keen to find the stress word.
I also had difficulty in utterance with /v/ . It was not too hard but sometimes I confused
because I pronunced it like Indonesian. If we learned it so well, it could not be very hard and
did it everyday so we could so easy to pronunce it. So we must often repeat it so that it
became more eloquent. I must work hard to understand it so, I can get good value . I will
reproduce the exercises, tongue will feel lighter and familiar in English pronunciation
In the Mid-term group project I made many mistakes,there were still many words that I
would say it with wrong pronunciation,because the conversation in the movie was very fast,I
did not know about the correct pronunciation ang my preparation was not good enough but I
hope the grade was not too bad, because I and my patner had been try to do our the best.
After joined in this class I knew how about pronunced a word so well,how to pronunced
banana with right pronunciation, there were I was learned were voicing and voiceless,find

focus word and stress word. Sometimes I also forgot to differentiate the pronunciation
between bag and back because it has a similar pronunciation.
My friends in the classroom I also helped me in learning about pronunciation,when we were
in pairs for dialog and we were be able to correct our friends pronunciation. And our friends
also laughed when there was something wrong with an articulation or wrong
pronunciation,and make class not tense.
As long as I learned in pronunciation course this really helped me in learning english ,it was
very useful for me to the next semester. I really enjoyed to learn in this class because this
class relaxed but is still serious and made me not too tense and more comfortable to learn. By
learning pronunciation, you will be more visible proficient in terms of speaking. Because it is
not easy to learn this. when you've been able to learn pronunciation well,armed with the
pronunciation enough, you will be more confident, not afraid wrong pronunciation,you'll
have nerves of steel to talk to strangers.
It is not easy to establish good pronunciation , especially in a short time. However, with the
willingness and effort as well as using English language learning, the formation of the
English language skills can be slightly accelerated.
