Descrizione del corso
Il libro deuterocanonico di Ben Sira (Siracide o Ecclesiastico), tuttoggi uno dei libri
meno conosciuti e meno studiati della Bibbia. Il corso si prefigge di svelare ed approfondire la
sapienza che si nasconde nelle sue pagine. Dopo unaccurata presentazione generale del libro
(inquadramento storico, evoluzione testuale, aspetti letterari, inserzione nel canone, rapporto
con altre letterature, uso dellAT, rapporto con il NT), si proceder allo studio di una
selezione di brani scelti riguardanti i temi teologici pi rilevanti nel pensiero del saggio: la
sapienza, il timore del Signore, la legge, la creazione, preghiera

Obiettivi del corso


Lo scopo del corso triplice: a) offrire unampia introduzione del libro di Ben Sira; b)
approfondire i temi teologici pi importanti della dottrina del saggio; c) lavorare con un testo
trasmesso non solo in due lingue ma in due forme testuali.

Esame
Lesame sar orale. Consister in due parti: a) domande sui diversi temi, e b) commentario di
un testo.
Oltre allo studio del programma sviluppato nelle lezioni, agli studenti viene richiesta la lettura
dellintero libro di Ben Sira nella propria lingua, la preparazione di 3 testi (libera scelta)
relativi a 3 temi teologici del Siracide e la lettura di 1 opera tra le letture consigliate (cf.
sopra) o tra le introduzioni e altri libri (cf. Bibliografia), e di almeno 3 articoli scientifici sulla
materia del corso.
