Goals and Objectives



I am currently exploring opportunities such as Digital Director, Social Media News
Editor, Digital News Producer, Assignment Editor, or other related newsroom
positions. My goal is to partner with an established news organization that places a
high value upon a strong online presence, including the use of Twitter and Facebook
for the purpose of building a powerful brand through local and national breaking
news updates.

I have a strong understanding for the role of social media in a newsroom setting,
how to build an online following through interesting, informative, and entertaining
content, and how a strong web and social presence can enhance a news
organization's brand, both locally and nationally.

** The candidate suspended his campaign in early May of 2012 to form a nonprofit
organization called The Reform Project. At that time, I worked with a small team of
former campaign staffers on the formation of a 501c4 organization, which served to
extend Gov. Roemers platform and campaign message. My responsibilities were
similar to those during the active campaign, with the addition of overseeing legal
setup and accounting matters for the organizations launch.

My duties for The Reform Project included:

Regular use of email, telephone correspondence with supporters and donors
Social media management of Gov. Roemer's and the organizations Facebook,
Twitter accounts;
@BuddyRoemer and @Reform__Project
Prepared briefings for Gov. Roemer on issues in the news related to campaign
finance reform, the 2012 election, and related matters.
Mass email and press release draft writing and editing
Management of Gov. Roemer's schedule
Booking and scheduling of media (radio and television) for Gov. Roemer
Written correspondence on behalf of Gov. Roemer
Handled all incoming and outgoing mail for the organization
Management and documentation of the organization's accounting matters
