IBPS Clerk syllabus consists of following five sections.

Reasoning -40 marks

General knowledge with special reference to banking industry-40 marks
Computer knowledge-40 marks

Total time of exam- 2 hrs.

Negative Marking: There is a panelty for giving wrong answer in IBPS Clerk exam. 0.25 marks out
of 1 mark question will be reduced from candidates marks if any wrong answer has been given.
Minimum Cut Off Marks: The candidates must secure minimum cut off marks in each of the
paper to qualify IBPS CLERK Exam. A candidate has to score minimum qualifying marks in the paper
i.e. 24 marks for general category candidate and 21 mark for reserved category candidate. Apart
from this, the candidates also have to score minimum standardized score (50-80% of total marks) to
be eligible for interview.

IBPS Syllabus of PO, Clerk, RRB officers and assistants and IBPS specialist officers all have nearly same
syllabus. Only the difficulty level varies. Higher post means higher level of difficulty in exams.
