Martin SUCCESS STORIES

In any industry, unscheduled downtime can cost you money. Conveyor downtime can impact your
production quotas and shipments of your finished products, which ultimately can affect your profits.
At Martin we understand how important it is to keep your equipment operating. The following examples
illustrate Martins problem solving abilities.

Cement Clinker Dust

Chemical

Application: Cement Clinker Dust up a 30 degree incline.

Chemical plant using a short screw feeding an incline

screw conveyor to another horizontal screw conveyor.

Problem: Existing screw conveyor was noisy, difficult and

expensive to maintain, and ran at high RPM.
Solution: Martins L-Path drag conveyor, quiet operation, fewer
moving parts, less expensive to maintain, and could handle
the incline with no problems.
Documented Savings: Customers maintenance and energy
savings estimated at $50,000 / year.

Lead Time
Martin was able to ship conveyor to Missouri in 5 working
days to meet rush delivery requirements. Normal lead time
would have been 15 work days.

Problem: Each conveyor requires its own separate

drive, resulting in high energy consumption. Three
screw conveyors also require a great deal of regular
maintenance to keep the abrasive material moving.
Solution: Martin supplied an L-Path Drag Conveyor with
AR liners, hardened split sprockets, and mill duty chain
to replace the 3 separate conveyors. Annual energy
consumption was cut in half. Maintenance costs were
reduced by 60%.
Documented Savings: Customers estimated savings
$45,000/year.
