VISION AND SCOPE DOCUMENT

(RHU1 INFORMATION SYSTEM)

INTRODUCTION
This is the Vision and Scope document of RHU 1
Information System project. Like any other Vision and
Scope document, this document will cover the problem
and vision statement including project background, list of
users, stakeholders, candidate risks, assumptions &
constraints, and project scope.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Project Background
Health center information is introduced to optimize
health centers operation. Because of huge changes in
management nowadays, management for health center is
important due to the widely spread of technology. This
system is proposed for health center in RHU 1 Hilongos,
Leyte to manage the health center operation efficiently.
The process in developing the system include patients
health center in Hilongos, Leyte. The area consists of the
user in health center which is doctor and health center
assistant. Basically there are no such systems in the
health center. The system use before has caused a lot of
problems to the user. Due to that, using manual system
seems to be the only solutions in managing the daily
works. The system will help out the user in the health
center in managing the work.

Key Users
Doctor: use the system for patients information or view
patients history.
Nurse: use the system to input information about the
patient

Stakeholders
Doctor: use the system for patients information or view
patients history.
Administrator: Administrator will have complete control of
the system. She/he can Add/Edit/Delete patients,
Add/Edit/Delete Doctors, Add/Edit/Delete Beds, Search for
patients, Assign patients to doctors.

List of Risks
Lack of experiences in software project management,
especially in testing, verification, validation, risks
management and changes management exists in the
Team.
No substitution if any team member cannot continue
to contribute to the project. Applying the project
again from the beginning could take development
team more time.
Development team cannot deliver the components
when reviewed. Development team could deliver
components of unacceptably low quality, and time
must be added to improve quality.

 Developing extra functionalities that are not in the

requirements.
Low motivation and moral reduce productivity.
Team member needs extra time to learn unfamiliar
tools or techniques.
Conflicts among team members ideas results in poor
performances, more meeting, and extra rework.
Peoples assignments do not match their strengths.

Components developed separately cannot be

integrated easily, requiring redesign and rework.
Detail reporting could take more development time.

Assumptions & Constraints

Information System

RHU

Development team must have at least one 2-hour

meeting per week.
The registration information of patient is processed
by illness or disease. And only illness or disease has
right to manage and process the registration
information.
Policy for bills payment is using cash and it is
managed by financial office.

Scope of Phase Release

Here are six modules in the system:
1. Modules
a) Patient Registration
Patient need to register before use the
facilities at the clinic. All the information will be
keep in database.
b) Medicine Registration
This module manages all the medicine stock
in the clinic. It will show current quantity of
medicine in the clinic. It includes the record
search.
c) Disease Registration
This module manages data about patient's
treatment history and register for various type of
disease.
d) Appointment This module manages appointment made by
doctor to the patient.
e) Reporting

This module manages

according to the user need.
