14 sts and 22 rows = 4 inches/10cm
in St st with larger needles.

Rnd 5: K4, yo, k3, ssk, k5.

With smaller needles, cast on
72 sts. Join without twisting, mark

Change to larger needles.

St st pat, place marker, work Rnd 1
of Lace Panel pat over next 14 sts,
place marker] 3 times.
Note: Slip markers as you come

Work even in pat as set until beret
measures 5 inches from beg.

tapestry needle, thread tail through

Block beret over 10-inch dinner
plate.
