2015 Is Here!
WOW, 2014 was a fantastic year for Forever, but
it went by so fast. I hope that you all achieved
what you were working towards. Maybe it was
a new Pin position, Eagle Manager, Global
Rally or even a Chairman's Bonus check? Or,
you achieved a personal best or a fitness goal
with our great new F.I.T program. I love to see
your stories and pictures of success on our
Facebook pages. So many of you are changing
your lives for the better. You are living in better
homes, driving nicer cars and finding financial
freedom. It is wonderful to be part of this global
phenomenon that we call FOREVER.

I also recognize that for some, 2014 was a


tough year. There was too much conflict,
incidents and accidents around the world,
that I know affected the lives of many of
our Distributors. There isn't a day that
goes by that we are not conscious of the
challenges that you face. If 2014, was not
the year you were looking for, stay strong,
stay the course, and keep fighting to
achieve your goals. Do not give up. You
know that there is always sunlight above
the clouds, and all trials are temporary.
Forever will not let you down. We are
committed to making our Company the
very best it can be, and we want you to be
part of that journey of success.

I once heard it said that there are two sides


to every story, yours and the right one! This
expression is the inspiration for me sharing
the following anecdote with you. Forgive
me if you have read it before, but I think
it is so powerful for us as motivators of
people. The ability to recognize that we all
have areas that need improving, and none
of us are perfect, is a key component in the
ability to empathize and then to inspire.
A young successful couple filled with
brashness of youth, moved into a upper
class neighborhood. Next door lived
an elderly widow. Each morning the
widow would hand wash her clothes
and place them on a line outside
to dry in the sunshine. Each
morning the young
wife would

complain about the clothes blocking her


view and question why, in this modern
world, anyone would hand wash clothes.
She even began to complain about the fact
that the clothes were dirty.
"I think I need to show that old lady how to
wash her clothes. It is disgusting that dirty
clothes are all I see in the mornings!" She'd
complain, "Maybe she needs to spend
some money on a better detergent or even
a washing machine! Her husband looked
on, but remained silent.
Sometime later the young woman was
surprised to see nice clean clothes hanging
on the line.
"Look, she has learned how to wash
correctly!" she announced to her husband.
The husband finally responded Actually,
I woke up early this morning and washed
your windows, the clothes were clean, it
was your windows that were dirty!
And so it is with life. More often than not
we need to clean our windows before we
judge another!
I am confident that as we work on trying to
see things from other's point of view, we will
be able to separate ourselves from them, and
create an environment where people want to
be involved, thereby building our businesses

Strength
Ina Marie is a happy person - you can
practically hear her smile through the
phone when you talk to her, and these
days, she has a lot to smile about! After
completing the F.I.T. Challenge and
winning the Transformation category,
Ina Marie was selected as the overall
winner but it didnt come easy. Her
biggest challenges were food and
overcoming her own self doubt.
When I was growing up, eating was
the main thingI love food! Ina had
struggled with her weight from an
early age and growing up in a Filipino
family, where food was a centerpiece
of family gatherings, she never realized
that she had a problem with food. I

always thought that being big had


something to do with the genes,
but then I realized that everyone
eats at the same table, so everyone
grows at the same rate, she said.
Ina Marie struggled throughout
high school with fad diets and tried
everything to control her weight. My
name was synonymous with losing
weight in high school, not because
I was doing it, but because I was
always trying, Ina explains. She
wasnt very athletic and wanted to be
more involved with school activities,
but couldnt and became desperate
to lose weight, not caring what the
repercussions might be. My mom

was giving me all these pills, tablets,


juicesI wasnt into the ingredients,
and what they did for my body.
By the time Ina Marie got to college, she
knew it was time for a change. I started
to feel pity for myself, and I think thats
the worst thing you can do, she admits.
Social media, in part, had fueled her
self-pity. At one point Ina realized she
had been going onto social media for up
to three hours a night, looking at friends
and others in her peer group. They had
better clothes, nicer things, they were in
better shape, and it really created envy.

herself. I have to do something Ive
never done before, if I want to be
someone Ive never been before, she
said. But the struggle wasnt over
yetIna Marie had a lot of hard work
to put in. So she stopped making
excuses and instead found answers.

When I started the F.I.T. program, I


weighed 150 pounds and today I weigh
130. While 20 pounds might not seem
like a significant change, Forever
F.I.T. had helped Ina with the final
phase of her weight loss muscle
building and transformation.

She found that a gym membership was


too expensive, and instead filled garbage
bags with sand and lifted them until it
became easy. She got up in the morning
when everyone else was still sleeping,
went out for a run and she also started
to focus on her nutrition. In January
2014, Ina Marie started Clean 9. After
9 days, I lost 6 pounds, and that was
great for a short span of time, she
shares. She followed Clean 9 with Vital

balance of nutrition and then, in June,
Forever F.I.T. was launched in the US.
Ina knew she was up for the challenge.

just about physically changing. It
was more about making the decision

With April fast approaching, those of you that qualified for Global Rally are already
planning your trips to Singapore. Like each Global Rally destination, Singapore will
be an experience like no other. Here are just a few fun things to see, do and explore
during your visit.

Have a cultural experience


Singapore is an incredible mix of diverse cultures.
With heavy influences from Chinese, Malaysian
and Indian cultures, among others, Singapore is
a vibrant and exciting place to explore. Be sure
to visit China Town and Little India for beautiful
architecture, quaint shops, delicious cafes,
markets, flavorful food vendors and more!

Take flight
Take a ride on the Singapore Flyer. With a height of
nearly 500 feet, it is the worlds largest observation wheel
outside of the United States, and its panoramic views
have been drawing visitors from around the globe since it
was built in 2008. Enjoy views of the fantastic Singapore
skyline, the Marina Bay Sands, and you can even catch a
glimpse of neighboring Malaysia and Indonesia!

Looking for somewhere to spend that hard earned

Take a walk on the wild side


The Singapore Zoo boasts the worlds first nocturnal
zoo. Guests arrive after dark to take a tour through the
exhibits and see over 130 species of nocturnal animals
in their natural environments across the park. Feeling
brave? You can even walk through open exhibits and
experience flying squirrels and other nocturnal creatures
as they zip overhead.

Jump in feet first


Not for the faint of heart, one of the unique spa
experiences to be had in Singapore is the famous
fish pedicure. At fish spas all over Singapore, guests
immerse their feet in baths of warm freshwater filled with
Garra rufa fish. These so- called doctor fish gently
nibble dry and dead skin leaving feet smooth and soft.
If a fish pedicure isnt your cup of tea, Singapore offers
many traditional spa experiences to leave you refreshed

A Day in the Life

Forever Aloe Vera Gel


Everyone recognizes that famous yellow bottle! Ever wonder how Forever Aloe Vera Gel
is manufactured and bottled? Aloe Vera of America (AVA) is proud to give us an
insider look on how one of our favorite products is produced and quality tested,
from start to finish!
The stabilized, raw aloe gel is
pre-processed and stabilized at the
facility in Mission, Texas before being
delivered to AVA in Dallas. Next, the raw
gel undergoes a series of tests at the
Quality Control Lab (QC Lab) to ensure
that the aloe gel is of the highest potency
and quality. Once the raw gel has been
given the stamp of approval, the real
magic begins!
The gel is then brought to the
compounding area where it is mixed
with other ingredients to create the
proprietary formula of Forever Aloe
Vera Gel. Once the mixing process
is complete, samples are taken to
the QC Lab for evaluation. After the
bulk product has been evaluated and
released for packaging, it is directly
fed into the packaging equipment via a
dedicated transfer line from the mixing

tanks especially designed to maintain


product quality during movement.
Next in the process, those famous yellow
gel bottles are fed into an automated
de-palletizer, which systematically
removes the bottles from their storage.

and expiration to make sure that they
can be tracked as they are shipped
all over the world. The bottles are
mechanically checked to ensure that
all necessary information is printed on

each bottle before being rinsed. After


rinsing, each bottle enters the filling
station. The filler is located in a HEPA
filtered enclosure where each bottle is
then filled and sealed before each bottle
is checked for proper weight using an
automated system.
The filled yellow bottles then travel to
the automated capping system, and
then pass through an X-Ray machine
before being placed directly into cases.
Each case is then verified by weight
to ensure that the correct number of
bottles are included and then the case is
placed onto pallets by the robotic pallet
stacking arms.

After the packaging process is


completed, samples of the final product
are taken to the QC Lab for the final
release testing. Once completed, the
product is then released for shipping to
one of our many distribution centers.

AVA Quality
Processes
In addition to the quality processes
related specifically to the
manufacturing of each product, there
are several other quality and process
checks implemented by Aloe Vera
of America. From weighing each
ingredient to adding them to mixing
tanks, each task is independently
checked and verified.
The manufacturing process is
performed by following an approved,
robust set of instructions to ensure
that all steps are followed and critical
control points are met. This helps
to ensure that Forever products are
consistently manufactured each
time. Other checks include verifying
that the equipment and tools used
during manufacturing are cleaned
and sanitized, that all raw materials
have been tested, released from the
QC Lab and appropriately staged for
manufacturing.

The foods you choose to eat can
have a direct impact on your health,
especially your cardiovascular health.
With February celebrating National
Heart Month, many people focus on
making changes to improve their health,
including eating right and exercising for
a healthy heart. The key to success is
getting enough of the right nutrients in
the right ratios, and especially getting
enough of the right fats. Forever Living
Products Vital 5 Pak can help you

with products that help keep your body
functioning optimally. A key component
of the Vital 5 Pak is Forever Arctic
Sea, which provides critical fats needed
for optimal health.
Most people think that all fats are bad
but, in actuality, there are some fats
that are essential for health, including
omega-3 fats. Unfortunately, not
everyone consumes nearly enough of
these important fats in their diet. There
are three main omega-3 fats: ALA (alphalinolenic acid), EPA (eicosapentanoic
acid) and DHA (docosahexanoic acid).
DHA ensures that the cells in the brain,
eyes, heart and nervous system develop
and function properly through all stages
of life. EPA plays a key role in immune
function and blocks the production of
inflammatory compounds in the body.
ALA is the building block the body uses
to make EPA and DHA. If you get enough
ALA in your diet, the body should be
able to convert it to EPA and DHA.

Unfortunately, because the typical diet is


so high in trans-fats and omega-6
fats, our bodies are not able to convert
enough of the ALA to EPA and DHA to
get the health benefits. A healthy diet
should consist of roughly 2:1 to 4:1
ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fats, but a
typical North American diet may contain
11 to 30 times more omega-6 than
omega-3 fats. This creates an imbalance
between omega-3 and omega-6 fats and
disrupts the bodys ability to make EPA
and DHA.
This means that we need more
EPA and DHA from our foods or
supplements. Because EPA and DHA
are found primarily in fish, many health
organizations recommend increasing the
consumption of cold-water fish, such
as salmon and tuna, or taking a fish oil
supplement. Scientific organizations
such as the American Heart Association
and the Academy of Nutrition and
Dietetics (formerly American Dietetics
Association) recommend 500mg of EPA/
DHA per day for healthy adults. The
new and improved Forever Arctic Sea
contains enough of these important fats
(400 mg of combined EPA and DHA per
serving and 1200mg/day) to meet these
recommended amounts.

Remember when social media first
emerged and everyone was talking
about how it would completely change
the way companies approached
marketing in the future and how it
seemed so unlikely? Now look at us;
a world without Facebook or Twitter
feels as distant and alien as a world
without electricity or cars. And it seems
that video is set to revolutionize the
marketing landscape in much the same
way in fact, it is already doing it. More
than 100 hours of video footage is
uploaded to You Tube every minute and
the platform is now the second most
popular search engine in the world. It
is predicted that by 2017, 69% of all
internet traffic will be generated by video
alone (Cisco).

But what does this mean for businesses,


or more specifically, for us as
Distributors? Well, people arent just
watching more video, it is also changing
the way they view brands, as Chris
Trimble, Director of Content at marketing
agency, Axonn Media, explained in a
recent article for The Guardian.

exercise is without doubt
one of the best tools in the
kit... 7 in 10 people view
brands in a more positive
light after watching
interesting video content.

How video is
changing the world
of marketing

There is a plethora of research out there


demonstrating the power that video has
over consumers. According to Prestige
Marketing, embedded video content
can increase website traffic by up to
55%, and videos posted on Facebook
increase viewer engagement with brand
pages by 33%. And what do viewers
do if they like your content? They share
it, adds Trimble. Engage viewers and
they will share the video with others.
They will spend longer on your website
and more time interacting with your
brand, he says. Interactive Advertising
Bureau research claims that 92% of all
mobile video users will go on to share
videos with others, demonstrating how
it has become part of modern culture to
interact in this way.

Video for

So, in a nutshell, video is big, and is


only going to get bigger. Thats why
increasing numbers of businesses all
over the world are incorporating it into
their marketing strategy including
Forever. Last year, we produced a
series of animations based around
our Christmas gift campaign. These
were integrated with the launch of the
aloe-inspired gift guide and gave a
little visual snippet of our products in
context for the festive season. These
five short animations were designed
so that they could be easily shared on
social media platforms, and because we
know that people are far more likely to
share a video post than they are a text
post (posts with videos attract three
times more inbound links than plain text,
according to Curata) they enabled you to
widen your online reach in the lead-up to
Christmas.

Another campaign which has been


built largely around video content
and visual marketing is the launch of
the new F.I.T. programme. For a topic
such as weight management and body
transformation, video marketing is
obviously going to have a deeper impact
on potential consumers than any other
form of advertising, because end users
want to see physical results. Based
on this principle, Forever created a
series of promotional docu-style videos
following peoples experiences with
the programme in a pre-launch trial
which proved extremely popular. For
the new year, we are now encouraging
Distributors and consumers to enter
our new F.I.T. competition and a series
of short promotional videos following
some of the entrants, are in the pipeline.
