Water bills have doubled last 5 years - Channel 5 story 2012.. In 2012, water department had 13 Million dollars
in unpaid bills. In 2015 - 19 Million dollars in unpaid bills to the water department - up 6 million from
2012. Fees on late bills go into fund that help those who cant afford to pay water bills.

Property taxes budgeted to increase by 1.5 percent per year

$4.4 million in debt service and $2.8 million from Finance Department budget to the Streetcar Authority. 2.1
Million will be transferred from KC Area Transit Authority Sales Tax to Street Car Authority

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold local public hearings in Kansas
City, Gladstone, Belton and Marshall an electric rate case filed by Kansas City Power & Light Company. The
local public hearing schedule appears below

April 23Kansas City. Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center Auditorium, 3700 Blue Parkway. A PSC
staff public information/question and answer session starts at 6:00 p.m. with the taking of sworn testimony to
follow.

April 28Belton. Memorial Station in Belton Memorial Park, 602 Maurer Parkway. A PSC staff public
information/question and answer session starts at 6:00 p.m. with the taking of sworn testimony to follow.

May 5Marshall. Martin Community Center, 1985 South Odell Avenue. A PSC staff public
information/question and answer session starts at12:00 p.m. with the taking of sworn testimony to follow.

May 5Kansas City. Manual Career and Technical Center Auditorium, 1215 East Truman Road. A PSC staff
public information/question and answer session starts at 6:00 p.m. with the taking of sworn testimony to follow.

May 6Gladstone. Gladstone Community Center, Gladstone & Linden Room, 6901 North Holmes. A PSC
staff public information/question and answer session starts at 6:00 p.m. with the taking of sworn testimony to

On October 30, 2014, Kansas City Power & Light Company filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public
Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric revenues by approximately $120.9 million. According to
the company, a typical residential customer would see an increase of approximately $14 a month under the rate
request.

Kansas City Power & Light serves approximately 270,000 electric customers in the Missouri counties of Carroll,
Cass, Chariton, Clay, Howard, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Pettis, Platte, Randolph and Saline.
