Brewhouse Plumbing
The brewhouse is pre-plumbed with stainless steel at our facility and is re-assembled on site with the
aid of drawings and photographs. This saves time and money during installation. The plumbing includes
the stainless steel tubing, fittings, valves and following equipment to interconnect the following;
mash tun outlet to diverter panel (runoff)
brewkettle wort outlet to diverter panel
diverter panel to mash tun (recirculation and
diverter panel / heat exchanger
sparge lines)
integrated CIP lines
diverter panel to brewkettle wort inlet
diverter panel to brewkettle tangential inlet
Swing Link Diverter Panel & Control Station
This is the brewhouse workstation; all flow lines are hard plumbed with stainless steel into this station to
allow for easy and sanitary control of wort flow.

stainless steel 11 port manifold system
stainless flo-verter links (4 short, 1 long) with
optional valves
stainless steel sanitary centrifugal pump
for lauter tun transfers (variable speed optional)
stainless sanitary centrifugal pump with variable
speed for sparge, whirlpool & heat exchanger
transfers
wash-down motors
U.L. Listed control panel with motor starting
switches and indicating lights
4 adjustable height stainless steel legs
Options;
Manifold style system in lieu of Diverter Panel
Stainless Steel Hot Wort Grant
Provides a buffer for the pump during mash tun recirculation and run-off. Two styles are available;
1. Side mounted at mash tun screen level to reduce vacuum (prevents stuck mashes) due to gravity
during run-off.

sample valve
bottom entry inlet with internal standpipe
and outlet
bypass line with stainless steel butterfly
valve
CIP sprayball
vent tube to top of lauter tun
stainless steel underlet valve
6 diameter sight glass for monitoring

free standing with connection fittings to
diverter panel
open top
6 US gallon capacity
Heat Exchanger
Cools the wort to during transfer from the kettle whirlpool to the fermenter.
Features:
2 stage, multi-pass with mains water
precool, glycol/water deepcool (option).
stainless steel construction with sanitary
fittings
Options;
single stage
Thermometers
Used on the sparge water inlet line (welded in line) and heat exchanger water outlet (portable unit) to
ensure correct temperatures are met.
Features:
analog read-out in both Fahrenheit and
Celsius
line
supplied with spare glass
B. Milling Equipment
Engl Malt Mill
The mill is used to crack the husk of malted barley to a desired coarseness.
Features:
pre-hopper with infeed magnet
two 12" diameter x 6" long cast iron rollers
with helical groove in drive roller
Grist Hopper
Is generally mounted over the mash/lauter tun and is used to hold some or all the brew strength of
milled barley. A full sized hopper generally makes the milling stage a one-man operation.
Features:
3
sized for 75 lbs./barrel @ 28 lbs./ft.

Hopper Slidegate
The slidegate connects onto the bottom of the hopper and is used to meter the grist flow into the
hydrator.
Features:
4 diameter
4 TC top and bottom for mounting between hopper and hydrator
Hydration Assembly
Hydrating the malted barley prior to entering the mash/lauter tun reduces dust by wetting the grist and
initiates mash formation. Two styles are available;
1. Grist Hydrator. Relies on hopper slide gate for flow control of gravity-fed grist.

water hose with connection fittings
Unitank/Fermenter
The unitank is the most common style of fermenting vessel. Yeast is added to the wort and controlled
fermentation takes place. Fermentation times vary greatly depending upon beer style, type of yeast and
fermentation temperatures. The size and number of fermenters are two major factors that determine the
annual production of a brewery.

America the most common brewery fittings are Tri-Clamp and Bevel Seat. Either type is available.
Perlick Tank Tapping Fittings
Breweries that serve their beer directly from the serving tanks, beer lines will be connected to the Perlick
tank tapping fitting located on each tank. These fittings are located on the outlet side of the butterfly
valve. Generally sold as single units, manifolds accommodating up to 4 lines are available.
