1. Contents and Objectives

The Contents of this seminar appropriate with the title of this seminar Probability
and Statistic. So, in this seminar will be discussed about some issues that have
relation with the probability and statistic.
The Objectives of this seminar are the following :
a. To know the definition of probability and statistics.
b. To know the usefulness and application of the probability and statistic in solving
problem around us on our daily life.
c. To know the definition and application some of method in probability and
statistics in solving problem.
2. Seminar Methodology
The Seminar will be conducted for once a week. This seminar will be performed by
presentation or discussion on the particular topic in accordance the schedule that
has arrange before. The seminar will be presented by laboratorium member for 1
hours and 30 minutes on the Friday and will be started at 2.30 PM until 4.00 PM. In
this seminar, laboratorium member will present his own sub topic alternately at
different time/week. Beside that, every member has the opportunity to provide a
question about the topic that being presented or discussed and then the question
will be answered by the member who presented the topic at that time or will be
discussed among the member.
3. Literature/Reference
The literature that will be used or discussed in this seminar is the book with the
title Probability and Statistics (4th edition) International Edition by Morris H.
DeGroot and Mark J. Schervish. This book is published by Pearson Education,Inc. in
the United States of America in 2012.
