Class lets play a game.

You will be grouped into
two, each group will
receive an envelope with
letters you need to

assumption. Lets read
the definition of
assumption.

The statement tells that the owners of


the house are not yet home.

The house is still dark.

Assumption- this is a hypothesis which


is an idea that suggested a possible

condition, but which has not yet been
proved to be correct or true. It may or
may not be true.
The girl is walking so slow she will be
late for their meeting.
The girl will be late.

She is walking slowly.

Assumptions are statements you made


based on the ideas given, while
predictions are just statements that
foresee future events or undertaking.

paired activity. What
you will do is you
reread the story The
Baby in the Bottle,
and you will give at
least 3 assumptions
and 3 predictions you
can make about the
couple. And you will
give the lines that
supports your answer.
Present you answer in
a table similar to the
one posted on the
board. Write it in a
whole sheet of paper.
You will only be given
10 minutes to do this.
Once you here three

will stop working.
