VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

AMDA is seeking a dedicated person to work as a “Community Development Facilitator Team Leader” for
‘Community Based Healthy Village Project’ at Pakokku Township, Magwe Division.

1. Terms of Reference;
Position title Community Development Facilitator Team Leader (3 positions)
Job Location Pakokku Township, Magwe Division.
Starting Date 1st February, 2010
Contract Period 1 year

2. General Presentations;
AMDA (Association of Medical Doctors of Asia) is the non-profit, non-governmental, non-political
organization formally established 1984 in Japan. AMDA specializes in the medical and health sectors, which
are often integrated in project implementation with such other sectors as education, income generation,
emergency support, environment, and community development. AMDA has been implementing its projects
in central dry zone since 1995 and in Kokang Special Region since 2004.

3. Description of Vacant Position


The main responsibilities of this position will be:
• Coordinate whole project implementation of assigned team in close collaboration with other senior staffs
• Monitor the activity progress, level of community participation and achievements.
• Establish, strengthen and sustain working relationship with stakeholder in grass roots level such as
village authorities.
• Supervise performance of CDF and provide necessary guideline.
• Conduct any other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
The applicant should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Any degree holder with minimum two years professional working experiences, preferably in com
munity development sector.
• Good communication skill and facilitating skill
• Good computer skill (Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook etc ;)
• Good command of English and Myanmar language
• Constructive and engaging character
• Flexibility and ability to adjust village level lifestyle and to work with/for community
• Strong teamwork and supportive interpersonal skills with team members and communities and
• Devotion to develop/maintain AMDA Myanmar core values.
