Integrated Forensic Laboratories (IFL), LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NMS Labs. It is
the nations first and only full-service, accredited crime lab. Serving dozens of law enforcement
agencies, attorneys, and corporations, IFL strives to provide accurate, timely, and friendly
forensic services.
We are seeking a Strategic Business Associate in our Sales department. This position will be
handling forensic business unit activities. A Bachelors of Science is required, with a degree in
the sciences or criminal justice preferred. Also, 2 or more years experience in business
development related to any scientific/ laboratory or law enforcement area. This is a new position
in an area of expanding business. This position will be responsible for developing and growing
new and existing business relationships within new IFL sites within the state of North
Carolina. The successful candidate should have a noteworthy record of accomplishments in
sales, business development, and relationship development. The candidate needs to successfully
communicate scientific and technical needs of the client. This position works closely with the
forensics sales team and reports directly to the Strategic Business Manager. Other major duties
and responsibilities include:

Meet/exceed IFL revenue goals and growth expectations


Develop new opportunities for additional services to NMS Labs within existing IFL
territory
Work with Strategic Business Manager to evaluate strategic business opportunities for
new markets/services lines
Prepare and submit bids and proposals
Work with the forensic sales team to develop and execute plans for growth of the IFL
business
Manage and prioritize large geographic areas to optimize growth potential
Travel as required by the SBU, could require up to 40% overnight travel
Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate should also have familiarity with reagents and laboratory
instrumentation pertaining to forensic testing as it relates to law enforcement. Advanced
proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office is required, and experience with CRM and database
software is a plus. The Strategic Business Associate must be a team player with excellent

organizational and strong attention to detail. The ability to conduct sales in and outside office
(with own transportation) as there is potential for sales travel up to 70% of the time is required.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently and conduct business, using
company resources and facilities. Physical demands include:
Ability to talk, hear, stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands and fingers to
manipulate instrument/equipment controls, computer keyboard, office equipment,
objects, or tools
Moving from one work location to another to sit and stand, sometimes for extended
periods of time
Vision (with correction) including color, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception,
and the ability to adjust focus
Ability to travel independently via routine commercial providers: Air and land
Ability to operate own vehicle for use of travel to client meetings and to travel
connections
Ability to obtain a valid passport with possibility of International Travel
