Defines a regional educational policy framework which reflects the values, needs and expectations of the communities they serve
Develops a regional basic education plan in coordination with other units
Develops regional educational standards with a view towards benchmarking for unconditional competitiveness.
Monitors, evaluates and assesses regional learning outcomes
Undertakes research projects and develops and manages regionwide project which may be funded through official development assistance/other
funding agencies
Adapts or adopts or localizes curriculum to suit the needs of learners in the region
Organizes and conducts capacity building based on training needs for Division Education Program Supervisors and PSDS
Develops localized curriculum guides and instructional materials and other materials suited to the learners in the region
Monitors, evaluates and provides assistance for private schools in the issuance of merits and recognition
