Superhero theory:
*misfit
1. Most superheroes start as underdogs, out casts, people who had been through a certain
problem, dealing with a personal issue...basically superhero character has a broken dimension
to them. Misfit:( a person whose behaviour or attitude sets them apart from others in an
uncomfortably conspicuous way.)
#Steve Rogers was a scrawny kid who wanted to serve his country in the army.
#Peter Parker didn't really fit in the crowd, had some emotional combustion periods because of
his family history,
#Tony Stark had character problems- being egoistic and mostly a me person
#Thor had problems of submitting to authority
#James Howlett / Logan doesnt fit well with people
*gifts
2. They are gifted with great abilities (by birth or accidental). And at points these abilities
conjure up the disability and the characters would sometimes dream to be normal...and most of
the superhero characters just want to be normal. Be just like anybody else. They just don't know
what to do with their powers.
*crisis
3. A crisis is happening, on the brink of exploding into chaos
*2b/(-)2b
4. There is a struggle to use the abilities they have because they wanna be normal. But
eventually succumb to the responsibility.(Problems are what makes movies good)
*different
5. They define their positions of responsibility by wearing striking costumes. It's a note to others
that tells them they are different.
*uncBen
5. At the end of the day...they come to terms with why they are gifted with their powers..."with
great power comes great responsibility.
I dont belong here. Were not of this world and hence Eph 4:17-24.
1 Cor 6:19-20 We dont own our lives how- God owns it.
*crisis
Ezekiel 14:14 showed men who were delivered based on their own righteous
character.
*embracing who we are
Like the superheroes who struggled to accept their responsibilities based on the
rational of their powersChristians have the same kinda attitude.
1 Pet 4:10-11
10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards
of Gods grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks
the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so
that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power
for ever and ever. Amen.
