This morning as you already heard our challenge and exhortation for all of you, BBH Family, are

the words of Paul which we find in Romans 1:16-17: For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. Our ministry has to start from here. We have to believe this: I am not ashamed.
We maybe ashamed of things we said, we maybe of things we done, but we are not ashamed of
who Jesus is and we are not ashamed of what hes done.
I am not ashamed of the Gospel, of the Good News, of the person and the work of Jesus Christ.
We have to know that this ministry is for courage not for cowards. This is a day in which we pray
that God will put steel in our spines and a vision on our horizon. We should stop taking the path
of least resistance and start taking the path that brings the most glory to God. Because we are not
ashamed of the Gospel.
For, here is the good reason, it is the power of God. God the Holy Spirit, unleashes lifechanging, soul-transforming, eternity-alliterating power to the proclamation, the declaration of
the Good News of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, in our place,
for our sins. Everything rises or falls with the Gospel. Everything, ultimately, is a Gospel issue.
We need to believe it, we need to serve it, we need to proclaim it. Thats what it means to not be
ashamed of it.
I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation, for everyone who
believes. We proclaim the Good News of the person and work of Jesus, and others need to
receive the truth of person and work of Jesus, if there is to be salvation for them. Being saved
from death, being saved from sin, being saved from wrath, being saved from hell, ultimately,
being saved from God.
The Gospel says that we are saved by God, that we are saved from God, that we are saved
through God, that we are saved for God. And thats entirely what it means to be saved. Our
biggest problem is not emotional, our biggest problem is not psychological or relational, our
biggest problem is theological. That we are not born knowing who God is, that we are not born
knowing what God does and so God must cause us to be born again and he does so through the
Gospel, which brings salvation and Gods people are to be the ones who are not ashamed. So, we
challenge all of you, starting with us, to be Gods messengers, to join in this great mission that
God has for us with this great message that God has untrusted to us.
To everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, for in it the righteousness of
God is revealed. That God is good, that God is holy, that God is different, that God is distinct,
that God is unique, that we are not the center of the universe, that God is, that we are not the most
important persons, God is, that we dont have any regard to think that God exists to glorify us,
because we were created for the express purpose of glorifying God and in that, in that alone is
found our joy! That what we did in those months here, visiting the patients and talking with them.
This is something we learned and kindled in BBH and we take that in our future ministry and we
pray God that he will bless you with courage for the Gospel and for the Kingdom of God, saying
and believing that we are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
