65% SAY CHILD CARE FACILITIES SHOULD SHUN UNVACCINATED

February 6th, 2015. A new Mainstreet Technologies poll of 2,838 Albertan residents finds 65% of
decided residents want child care facilities to refuse unvaccinated children. The poll carries an
overall margin of error of +/- 1.84%, 19/20.
"34% of residents believe parents should have no choice in vaccinating their children, said Quito
Maggi, President of Mainstreet Technologies. "That means 56% believe that parents should have
the ultimate say in whether their children receive vaccinations, though 53% back allowing
schools to refuse unvaccinated children."

56% say parents should be able to decide against vaccinating their children.
53% agree schools should turn away unvaccinated children.
21% agree vaccines could cause autism, 18% neither agree or disagree with the statement.
61% agree serious health impacts loom if children are not vaccinated.

"Whats concerning is 21% of residents agree vaccines could cause autism, and that 16% dont
believe lower immunizations rates will cause serious health problems. There are many children
who cannot be immunized and who are depending on herd immunity for their well-being,
finished Maggi.

Methodology
The poll surveyed a random sample of 2,838 Alberta residents by Interactive Voice Response
(IVR) on February 4th, 2015. Margins of error are greater for regional numbers.
