Oracle System Assistant (OSA) and Installs

OSA facilitates OS installations
Recommended for Linux, Oracle VM, and Windows installs
Automatically installs required drivers
OSA USB flash drive included in all systems unless opted out at time
of system order
Refer to OSA TOI for full capabilities and more information

Installing an OS without using OSA

Warning! Linux and virtual machine OSs view the OSA USB flash
drive as an ordinary disk
If default install options are used
The OSA drive will likely be corrupted
The corrupted drive will become the default boot drive
General disk, partition or file system maintenance may also corrupt OSA
Refer to the Restore Oracle System Assistant section of the Server
Administration Guide
