Sudden chill when overheated (cold drinks, cold
shower after sports, getting caught in the rain,
swimming)
Deep tissue trauma (esp. abdominal and pelvic)
Female trauma: hysterectomy, mastectomy ,
abortion, childbirth, C-section
Physical overexertion
Prolonged jarring (motorcycle rides, pneumatic
tools)
Surgery for pain and speeding up recovery

Head or spinal injury (Foubister)
