CHAPTER 1
VISTOR MARKET - Visitor Market Profile provides an overview of visitor
industry, including key tourism statistics and visitor trends of a specific area.
FACILITIES - Permanent, semi-permanent, or temporary commercial or
industrial property such as a building, plant, or structure, built, established, or
installed for the performance of one or more specific activities or functions.
Hotel facilities are services, buildings , equipment and everything else that is
created to serve a particular function to make your stay in the hotel perfect
and corresponding to your needs.
SERVICE CULTURE - A service culture exists when you motivate the
employees in your organization to take a customer-centric approach to their
regular duties and work activities.
The keys to Develop a service culture are commitment, leadership and the
acceptance that if customer service is managed properly it will improve the
profitability of the company and its market position. Central to the success of
the whole process is the drive and inclusion of all staff but particularly the top
team and the CEO who must lead the process.

relatively undisturbed natural areas, intended as a low-impact and often
small scale alternative to standard commercial (mass) tourism.
CHAPTER 2
SEGMENT OF THE MARKET is a marketing strategy that involves dividing a
broad target market into subsets of consumers, businesses, or countries who
have common needs and priorities, and then designing and implementing
strategies to target them. Market segmentation strategies may be used to
identify the target customers, and provide supporting data for positioning to
achieve a marketing plan objective.
TIMESHARE OWNERS is a property with a particular form of ownership or
use rights. These properties are typically resort condominium units, in which
multiple parties hold rights to use the property, and each sharer is allotted a
period of time (typically one week and almost always the same time every
year) in which they may use the property. Units may be on a partial

ownership, lease, or "right to use" basis, in which the sharer holds no claim to
ownership of the property.
SNOWSPORTS - Activities in the snow ; Alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh,
curling, downhill racing, ice dancing, ice hockey, ice skating or figure skating,
luge, Nordic skiing, skating, skibobbing, skiing, skijoring, ski jumping, slalom,

ADVENTURE TRAVEL - is a type of tourism, involving exploration or travel
with perceived (and possibly actual) risk, and potentially requiring specialized
skills and physical exertion. It also encompasses a higher element of risk, but
more importantly you need to be in either excellent physical condition or be
mentally fit.
HARD ADVENTURE - Hard Adventure activities include climbing expeditions,
class V+ whitewater rafting/kayaking, several day treks crossing several
elevation changes, etc.
SOFT ADVENTURE - activities include snorkeling, casual bicycle tours,
cultural art walks, camping, volunteer opportunities, fly fishing, skiing,
snowshoeing, teambuilding, wildlife viewing, or simply horseback riding.
GAMING MARKET - consists of companies engaged in casinos and gambling
operations. Companies classified as casinos will often engage in auxiliary
restaurant and hotel services. The industry includes stand alone casinos,
casino hotels, riverboat casinos, bingo halls, gambling machine
manufacturers, lottery services, Internet gambling services, bookmaking and
other gambling services.
CRUISE MARKET - which modern version dates from the 1970s with the
development of the North American industry, has experienced an increasing
process of popularization, becoming a major part of the tourism sector, and
reaching a level of enormous significance world-wide as an economic factor.
