1.
Walk-in-Interviews will be held on the following dates for appointment of Sr.
Resident in the following specialties for a period of one year in Central Hospital,
Secunderabad , South Central Railway . The details are as follows :

The reservation break-up is 2 (SC) , 1 (ST) , 3 (OBC)* & 6 (UR).

Eligibility/Qualification :
a)
Post graduate degree or diploma in the concerned specialty from
University recognized by State/Central Government.
b)
If such candidates are not available in particular specialty , those without
qualification but having at least three years experience after MBBS, out
of which one year Junior Residency from a Government Hospital in
concerned specialty , will be considered.
c)
Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma must have passed on
or before 01 .01 .2015.
Age limit for appointment:
a)
33 years for those having Post graduate qualification
b)
35 years for Post Doctoral Degree holders
c)
Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates

The appointment of Sr. Resident is contractual and does not confirm any right
for regularization/regular appointment in Railways . The details of terms &
conditions governing the appointment and Application are available on South
Central Railway's website i.e. ,' scr.indianrailways.gov.in'.

The eligible and willing candidates shou'ld report at the venue mentioned
above at
08 .00 hrs on the date of walk-in-interview along with
application form in the prescribed format duly enclosing necessary
attested copies of the certificates/testimonials .
(b)
Originals of the certificates should be produced for verification at the
time of walk-in- interviews .
No application will be accepted after 16.00 hrs on the date of walk-in(c)
interview.
(d)
No TAIDAIFree Railway Pass will be provided to the candidates who
attend for the interview.
Candidates belonging to reserved community should bring their caste certificates
in original for verification at the time of interview

Remuneration

For Senior Residents having post graduate deqree

Rs. 18,750/- + 6600 GP + 25 % NPA in the first year.
Rs . 19,510/- + 6600 GP + 25% NPA in the second year.
Rs. 20 ,300/- + 6600 GP + 25% NPA in the third year.
For Senior Residents with only PG Diploma
The above amount shall be reduced by Rs . 325/- per month and
the same will be reduced by Rs. 650/- per month if without
Diploma/PG Degree .
For Senior Residents who are pursuing DNB training also the
emoluments will be f'ixed by National Board of Examination or as
above whichever is higher.
* In respect of candidates belonging to OBC, they shall produce OBC certificate in the

proforma prescribed by the Railways at the time of engagement and the community
should be figLlring in the central list. A declaration to the effect that they are not coming
under creamy layer should be submitted at the time of Interview alongwith OBC
certificate issued by appropriate authority.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RAILWAY HOSPITALS

FOR SENIOR RESIDENTS WORKING

IN

Minimum Educational Qualification :

Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from

University recognized by State/Central Government.

If such candidates are not available in particular specialty, those without

PG qualification but having at least three years experience after MBBS ,
out of which one year Junior Residency from a Government Hospital in
the concerned specialty, can be considered.

Age Limit for appointment as Senior Residents :

33 years for those having Post Graduate qualification

35 years for Post Doctoral Degree holders
Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidate

Selection Process
Selection will be through a press notification followed by an interview.
Tenure of Senior Residency:

The contract of appointment of Senior Residence will be one year but the
total period Senior Residency can not exceed the maximum period of
three years, subject to renewal/extension every year.
The termination of contract can be done on one month notice or pay from
either side .

Emoluments :
For Senior Residents having post graduate degree
Basic Pay + NPA
Rs . 18,750/- + 6600 GP + 25 % NPA in the first year.
Rs. 19,510/- + 6600 GP + 25% NPA in the second year.
Rs . 20 ,300/- + 6600 GP + 25% NPA in the third year.
For Senior Residents with only PG Diploma

For PG degree holder - Rs. 200/- per month
For PG Diploma holder- Rs. 100/- per month
This allowance is also already included in the total emoluments
mentioned above . Hence , in case the Senior Resident is having only PG
Diploma, a sum of Rs. 100/- and in case he neither has PG Degree nor
Diploma a sum of Rs. 200/- per month will be deducted from his
emoluments.
3. Dearness Allowance, CCA & HRA
Entitlement to these allowance is as per Central Government rules on
the basis of their monthly emoluments .
4. Book Allowance
Book Allowance to be granted to the Senior residents at the rate of Rs.
1500/- per annum in two installments of six months each . The
books/Journals purchased shall be embossed at three places by an
officer appointed by the head of institution for this purpose.
Accommodation:
Free residential unfurnished accommodation would be provided to
Senior Residents subject to availability.
Leave entitlements:

One day weekly off by rotation.

Entitled to total 20 days leave in one contract year which can be availed
as not more than 10 in six months period.
Not entitled to any vacation or any other type of leave.

Medical treatment Facility:

Free OPD treatment Medical facility as available in Railway Hospital will

be provided to the Senior Residents for self, spouse & children.
Free indoor Medical treatment as available in Railway Hospital will be
extended to self only in emergency and acute illness situation
Three shall not be any provision for referral to other Private Medical
Centers for treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Residents will be as fixed by the

Railway administration from time to time .
They will be required to perform any work as may be needed in the
legitimate interest of Railway administration including National
Programmes or during Railway accidents , in addition to their specialty
work.
The Senior Resident Doctors will be required to be on call duty not
exceeding 12 hours/day .
No private practice shall be permitted .
