The phase of the adolescence

The father: I am worried about my son Umar, Indeed

he reached a state (where) he goes out of the house
whenever he wishes, and he returns whenever he
wishes, and he neither informs me about the place
which, he goes to nor the friends whom he goes (out)
with. I am afraid about him.

The uncle: This is a natural feeling, but don’t forget,

indeed your son Umar completed sixteenth (years)
from his age. And he is now in the phase of the
adolescence, it is necessary to deal (with) him with
wisdom.

The father: How do I deal with him with wisdom?!

The uncle: Umar feels now that he is a man, he knows

what benefits him and what harms him.

The father: In reality, I treat Umar as the child; do

this, don’t do that, eat this, don’t eat that, wear this,
don’t wear that…

The uncle: This manner is not sound in the

upbringing.

The handling of the youth differs from the handling of the

children. Umar will move away from you.

The father: This is what actually happened; he spends most of the

time with his friends, and I don’t see him except little.

The uncle: Change your manner with your son, talk with him, and
value his opinions, and he will return to you.

The father: May Allah reward you (with) good O Uncle of Umar.

NOTE: Yes, that’s the lesson, the biggest lessons that many
parents and many people forget. Don’t lose your kids; bring him
close to you only. May Allah aid us. Ameen.
