Headlines
Over the last three weeks there has been 13 Theft from
Motor Vehicles, whereby four of those were Taxis being
the target. Drivers of private hire vehicles are leaving their
own personal property on show as well as loose change or
cash and making themselves a target for opportunist
thieves. At least five vehicles that have had Registration
Plates removed and three vehicles attacked for property
left on show.
There have been four Robberies over the last 21 days with
one of these being 8th January 2015 between 10.15 and
10.30hrs whereby an Asian female was targeted for her
Hand Bag while walking on Bordesley Green East. Three
Asian males have approached the Asian female
surrounding her with one of the males hitting her right arm
slightly with an iron bar, another male has then punched
her right arm allowing them to grab her Handbag and run
off. All males are described as one being 5ft in height and
of fat stocky build, One being 6ft slim build wearing all
black with a black scarf covering his face with white swirls,
and the last male being 5ft 7 to 5ft 9 slim build in a Black
Hoody. Did you see anything? Call 101.
There have been three Burglaries, two where bedroom
windows at the rear of the locations have been left open
allowing the offender/s to gain entry, and one on Belchers
Lane, Bordesley Green where the offender has kicked the
front door to the address allowing him to gain entry and
though confronted by the elderly victim the offender still
had time to grab the victims purse before running out of
the address.

Officers on the team have had a very successful few


weeks where 14 vehicles have been stopped and taken
off the road for all manner of offences, these range from
no Insurance, no tax, stolen vehicles and a disqualified
driver who was arrested. On one occasion Officers have
stopped the owner of a car who while sat in the
passenger seat has allowed a 16yr old with no licence
and no insurance to drive his vehicle, the owner is now
in the process of being summoned to court as are many
others.
A Humorous Tale
Eagle eyed officers stopped a prolific shop thief after he
was spotted coming out of a shop on Bordesley Green.
Officers searched the male and found him still in
possession of 18 Mascara pencils. Officers became
suspicious after they noticed the male wasnt wearing
any make up. The male was arrested and taken into
custody where it was revealed he had over 40 previous
offences for shop theft.
