The Shawano Police Departments goal is to reduce crime and
enhance the quality of life in the city of Shawano.
The department has various community programs focusing on
bicycle safety and child identification cards. It also has a neighborhood watch and vacation house watch. Mark Kohl is the chief

Shawano County
The Shawano County Sheriffs Departments mission statement pledges to maintain a safe and orderly environment for
people of Shawano County through law enforcement and crime
prevention activities delivered in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
In addition to its patrol squad cars, the department provides
a water safety patrol, snowmobile law enforcement, school/community liaison officers, ATV law enforcement, a K-9 unit and deputies on the Stockbridge-Munsee Indian Reservation.

State Patrol
Wisconsin State Patrol troopers primary emphasis is the major highways, but they also patrol the county highways and town
roads as conditions dictate.
Shawano and Menominee counties are served by the North
Central Region of the Wisconsin State Patrol, based in Wausau.

Paying fines
All traffic, parking and criminal fines imposed within Shawano, Menominee and Oconto County are paid at the clerk of
courts office located at their respective county courthouses.
Traffic and parking fines imposed within the city of Shawano and village of Bonduel are paid 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday
through Friday at the Municipal Court by Shawano City Hall. For

Oconto Falls and Gillett are paid at their respective municipal
