Optimum print sheet layout in an instant • Prinect® Signa Station® is

one of the world’s leading software solutions for impositioning and sheet
assembly. Distinctive program features include easy-to-understand tools,
­visual control of all workflow stages, conceptual separation of fold sheets
and print sheets, and special modules for packaging printing.

Prinect Signa Station provides all the right conditions for reducing through-
put times and increasing overall process efficiency. This significantly reduces
makeready times in printing and finishing. Prinect Signa Station adopts data
about customers, binding processes, formats and much more from. It also
provides presetting data for printing and finishing in PPF and JDF format.

Efficient impositioning concept • In order to respond flexibly to product

and production requirements and to changes, Prinect Signa Station makes
a fundamental distinction between print sheets and fold sheets. Multiple
fold sheets can be positioned on one print sheet. This increases efficiency
and cuts down costs, for example when fold sheets are to be printed in the
same colors on one print sheet.

Prinect Signa Station offers a variety of working methods. In assembly mode,

mixed forms can be created by freely positioning individual pages singly or
together with fold sheets on a print sheet. This enables different jobs to be
combined in one product part. In the various impositioning modes, imposi-
tioning is performed on the basis of folding layouts – this can be done fully

Prinect Signa Station provides a perfect preview of the print sheet
with all production-relevant parameters. This function is also avail­
able for folding box production with the Packaging Pro option.
Job Assistant for absolute reliability • Job Assistant
guides the user reliably and quickly through all impo-
sitioning and assembly processes. The product parts
required for a job are generated in just a few easy
steps. Templates are available to reduce the amount
of data that needs to be entered. This information can
include customer data, complete jobs, product parts
or plate positioning sheets that have already been
­created.
Clear job structures • The jobs are arranged in a
browser window according to the production structure.
A job might consist of several parts such as cover and
contents, packaging, labels and individual repeats. The
browser shows which fold sheets, pages and print
sheets belong to the current job.
Straightforward creation of marks • The mark
­editor is used to generate customized control marks
and ­barcodes. The combi-marks in particular facilitate
processing. The color bars adjust automatically to the
colors of the print job.
Simple handling of print jobs with different
versions • Separating and assigning different texts in
the document, e. g. to generate multilingual versions,
is easily accomplished. The straightforward and effi-
cient handling of Prinect Signa Station ensures reli-
able output of printed material in different versions.
Sheet Optimizer for label production
The Sheet Optimizer option determines the ideal print
sheet assignment for repeats of different formats and
in different run sizes. Once the production-relevant
parameters have been entered, the most cost-effective
sheet assignment is calculated immediately and dis-
played on the monitor.
High performance for packaging printing
With the Packaging Pro option, complete forms can be
prepared for output. CAD data in all standard formats
can be imported and processed. Automatic nesting
of repeats and numbering of repeats and trimmings
are possible at any time. The trim can be determined
­directly on the sheet. Because all functions can be
performed under visual control, the system is extremely
convenient to operate and highly reliable for the user.
