Lets introduce ourselves.

Who we are?

Two students that are both currently studying at Bournemouth. We began Finc. 8 weeks
into our first year of study. It has been a great 1 year journey so far and after recieving some
invaluable advice from an ex-director at Nike & Manchester United we were diverted from
trying to supply to football teams to supplying for universities.

What
weve
done?
In the year that weve been around we have
managed to get our headware worn by
some major celebrities photographed in the
Daily Mail, we have been featured in ESPN
and sold our products across the globe.
Were not solely headware manufacturers
now & with the industry contracts we have
gained we are sure to provide Bournemouth
university & students with an experience
like no other. We understand how important
the memories associated with playing with
a team for 4 years are and we aim to contain
them for students with memorable clothing.

The Proposal...
In USA each University has a dedicated website and seperate branding
for the sports teams. We are in a position to offer you the same solution
with a student engagement that no one else can offer.

bu buffaloes

The BU rugby team is currently called the Buffaloes and after extensive
focus groups with other teams; they are all in agreement to accept the
name as a collective with all varsity teams be called Bournemouth Buffaloes.
We have designed a concept logo that has also had positive feedback, you
will obviously have the final desision in any altertions that you suggest
to the logo if you are to proceed with this format. We will both have a
vast merchandising opportunity if you are to proceed with this format,
providing revenue that can be reinjected into SportBU. Banners can be
put out every wednesday saying Go Buffaloes! supporting all varsity
teams as a collective. Weve also been in discussion with a Mascot manufacturer if we decide to capitalise on branding.
Although it may be a difficulty in convincing all current students to get
majorly excited about the Buffaloes brand we are sure that if we were
to have access to the freshers accepted onto Sept 2013 courses emails
adresses we wil be able to gain a huge following and could be a bonus
factor as to which students will base their decision in coming to BU.
The central website www.bubuffaloes.co.uk is also a highlight of taking
on this concept. It will be a hub to all students that are Varsity Atheletes
and will provide team info, fixtures and results, events, info on how to
join teams and most importantly the online shop.

Pete Simmons who will fly BU Buffaloes flag at his job at Radio
One. We also have been given thumbs up by Ashley Guymer
another BU Student who has a very successful path in the sports

As discussed in our meeting last week, we are very interested in your ambition and
plans for what you want to do with the University apparel business. Having discussed it
with business partners at Nike and K-Swiss, it is clear there is a real opportunity in the
UK market for smart thinking universities to like you said capture the memories and
passion of university.

think the University needs to be clear on this).

How its done in The States.s

Our Ambition...
We want to partner with Bournemouth University to start a long term
relationship, BU will always be close to our hearts as its our place of
study. We have great intentions in making Finc. a nationally and even
globally recognised brand that represents the student lifestyle better
then any other. With the support we have
gained from NextBiggerBetter we have the
resources to becoming an entrepreneurial
success story, from within Bournemouths
very own University walls.
Finc. also sell lifestyle clothing, worn by
many influencial people in Music, Sport and
other Media. Although its at quite a high
price point we will be giving all Varsity atheletes a Members card that
will entitle them to not only buy our collections early but with 50% off
the price.

Appendix C
1. Cost 30%
1.1 Please confirm you are able to hold your prices as submitted in Appendix A
for the initial duration of the contract?
We can confirm that the prices will be held for the duration of 3 years subject
to inflation rates.

2.10 If shortlisted samples across the whole range must be provided at presentation, not in BU design, however a sublimated football top sample must be
provided fully branded to BU spec and colours. Please confirm. Yes samples for
the whole range will be provided in the BU branding.

2.1 All apparel will need to be gender specific fit and available across Female;
6-18 and Male; XS-XXL ; can you provide the required kit range in appendix A
across all sizes and lengths? Yes

2.2 Can you supply specific kits for all sports listed in Appendix B? Yes

2.3 Can you provide sublimated kit for the required sports? Yes

2.4 Can you provide for the specific colours and font? If not what is your nearest equivalent? We are able to use Glypha Bold and use the specific pantone
colours required.

3.1 Can you supply a complete bespoke design across the whole range of
sports kit as detailed in Appendix A ? Yes.

2.5 Design/Colour - How would you guarantee consistency during the life of
the contract? Our supply to the University will be pinnicle to us as a company.
Designs will be kept consistent as our head designer is also a director of the
company and we would not want to design a range of kit that didnt look up
to scratch. There will be no limitations in communications with us and we
will do our upmost to maintain our supply chain.
2.6 Have you previously provided sublimated kit for teams or universities, if so
who? We havent.

2.7 Do you have more than one range of clothing for each sport? If so how do
you clarify your range? We will only have one performance range per sport,
the tracksuit attire will be also be universal to all performance specifcations.
2.8 Have you provided all samples as requested with your tender? Yes. The
are however not near the quality of the final products due to time constraints.
Giving us the opportunity to show you the range in April will give our designs
justice.

2.9 Electronic designs for the whole range must be provided with tender submission, please confirm. Yes we have sent all proposed designs electronically.

3.2 What is the design lead time, production lead time and delivery lead time
(both freight and shipping) for these products? Design Lead time is 3 days,
Production is 6 Weeks and delivery is 5 days by Courier, 8 By Air and 25-30 on
a ship.
3.3 Please provide detail of the specific order dates including sign off period
and lead times for the varsity provisional onsite shop order sold to the students on October 5th & 6th . July 26th is the latest preferred sign off date with
our lead time being 7/8 weeks in total.

3.4 Can you fully manage and staff the on site support for the sale of items to
students for the onsite shop and mop up day? Yes.
3.5 How would you propose to run this weekend ie Financial transaction, staffing, shop structure, provision of samples, distribution, returns, reporting to BU
of items sold? Wed like to have selected time slots allocated for each sport.
Then for each slot wed lay out some samples for people to try on, they can
then purchase from our stall either electronically or with cash. We will supply
the staffing. Returns are accepted for 28days. An itinary of items sold will be
sent to BU at the end of each day.
3.6 Sports team kit will need to be numbered and labeled before on site shop
weekend please confirm you are able to meet this requirement.? Although
in the specification you require all shirts to be numbered before the day, we
propose to number and name the shirts for students on the day so that there
are no issues with rugby positions and sizing not matching up. This however
is just a proposal and if you feel that kits should be numbered before we will
have them manufactured in that way.

5. Added Value/ Creativity 10%


5.1 What other branded merchandise items could you supply?
There is also then a whole load of things that can be merchandised and
generate revenue for the BU. Keyrings, mascot/teddies, pillows, mugs,
bedding, Hats, umbrellas, bottles ,gumshields ect, weve spoken to
students and the response we get is; if the alternative is cheaper then
the big brands we will comfotably make the purchase What better
publicity will there be then having 7,000 of the 17,000 students at bournemouth consistantly plastered in BU related branding throughout the
year.
Examples of other revenue sources would be official supporters clothing
for students such as simple pull over jumpers that are always in trend.
But with there not being a university mascot it makes it hard to design
clothing with a fashionable appeal. From our feedback the clothing
supplied by the university shop basically isnt cool and we want to and
can change that. The mascots has been designed and can so easily be
applied to high quality garments in a variety of colourways.

5.2 Please provide details of your added value proposals and evidence of
how you have utilised added value and creativity in previous contracts of
a similar scope. None, however we are experienced in creating products
based on the American Varsity market that have been sold around the
world and word by Celebrities such as Zayn Malik.
5.3 What will you do to support the BU brand and student experience? By
actively running social networks, involving students in media production to take part in reporting/photography/commentating on games and
giving them credit via the bubuffaloes.co.uk website. We will part take,
in attempting to gain sponsorship of the BU Buffaloes. We have secured
a filming slot to take place on the kit days by SB.TV who have partnered
with Virgin to create a Business based Youtube channel and theyd film
the day which would be great publicity for our parnership.
5.4 Please provide two references, if possible from other universities, that
you have provided both sublimated and non sublimated kit for across a
range of sports. N/A

We understand the appeal in having souviners with sentimental value


to keep after graduation, and we also propose manufacturing graduation rings and shirts, this can be discussed in further meetings as
pricing will need to be negotiated with our suppliers.
We are not only suppliers of kit, we have our own lifestyle brand that
has clothing sold at a premium price point. We propose to keep this
high price point for our current customers but give Varsity team members an exclusive members card. It will entitle them to a discount like
no other and will be valid for as long as they are in possession of it even
after they graduate. They will be allowed to purchase new products before anyone else and will get 50% off all items sold at www.finc.uk.com.
We need to reinforce the exclusivity of this discount being soley to
members of the Varsity team and that they will value this privilage as
we aim to keep this members card valid.
