Applications are invited from Indian nationals for following Contractual Positions in the project titled
Establishment of Biosafety Support Unit (BSU). The positions are purely on contract basis and will be
governed by the terms and conditions prescribed by Regional Centre of Biotechnology, Gurgaon for
contract positions. The details of contractual positions are given below:
1. Scientists: 03 (02 in Agriculture Biotechnology and 01 in Medical Biotechnology)
A. Agriculture Biotechnology- any of the following disciplines
(i) Agronomy (ii) Plant Breeding (iii) Entomology (iv) Plant physiology (v) Plant Pathology (vi)
Plant Genetics (vii) Soil Microbiology
B. Medical Biotechnology- any of the following disciplines
(i) Pharmacology/Toxicology (ii) Biochemistry/Microbiology (iii) Veterinary Pharmacology (iv)
Molecular Biology/Genetics (v) Fermentation Technology/ Analytical Chemistry (vi) Pharm.
Biotechnology/Drug Regulatory Affairs
i.

Essential Qualification: Ph. D. in relevant subject with First Class at the preceding degree
with minimum 1 year post-doctoral work experience.
ii. Desirable Experience: Experience in regulation of biotechnology products is desirable.
iii. Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 50000 to Rs. 70000 per month
iv. Age limit: 35 years on the last date of application
2. Manager 01 (Administration & Finance)
i. Essential Qualification: Graduate with 15 years experience in Administration and
Finance in supervisory position preferably in Government
ii. Desirable Experience: Administration, Finance & Services in Government Sector
preferably in Scientific Department
iii. Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 50000 to 60000 per month
iv. Age limit: 45 years on the last date of application. Age limit for retired government
employee having experience in administration and finance may be considered up to
62 years.
3. Law Officer (1)
i.

Essential Qualification: Graduate in Biological Sciences and LLB with First Class with
minimum 4 years post LLB experience in techno-legal issues.
ii. Desirable: Experience in prosecution of cases under EPA, 1986
iii. Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 45000 to Rs. 60000 per month
iv. Age limit: 35 years on the last date of application

4. Technical Assistant (3)

i. Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in Biological Sciences
ii. Desirable: 2 years experience in scientific organization
iii. Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 25000 to Rs. 35000 per month
iv. Age limit: 30 years on the last date of application
5. Accountant (1)
i. Essential Qualification: Graduate in Commerce with 2 years experience in relevant area
ii. Desirable: good commend over accounting software
iii. Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 20000 to Rs. 25000 per month
iv. Age limit: 30 years on the last date of application. Age limit for retired Government
employee having experience in relevant filed may be considered up to 62 years.
6. Data Entry operator (3)
i.

Essential Qualification: Graduate with Diploma in Computer Application with 02 years

experience
ii. Desirable: Good commend in MS Office & typing
iii. Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 18000 to 20000 per month
iv. Age limit: 30 years on the last date of application

7. Receptionist Cum Media Operator (1)

i.

Essential Qualification: Graduate with 02 years experience in relevant field

Desirable: Experience in handling media equipment/ Diploma in Computer Application
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 15000 to 18000 per month
Age limit: 30 years on the last date of application

8. Multi-Tasking Staff (02)

Essential Qualification: Senior Secondary/Intermediate

Desirable: 1 year experience in relevant area
Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 10000 per month
Age limit: 28 years on the last date of application

Other conditions of contractual positions:

1. Appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of one year initially which may be
extended depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis with an increment of 5
% of consolidated remuneration till March, 2017.
2. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and
photographs submitted.

3. The RCB reserves the right to relax qualification, experience and age limit for otherwise
exceptional candidates. RCB may also offer higher remuneration for experienced
candidates.
4. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and need of the project. Mere
possessing the prescribed qualification does not entitled that the candidate would be called
for interview.
5. Shortlisted Candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview date. So the candidate
must provide valid E-mail IDs in their application.
6. Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date
with updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates in
support of their academic qualifications and experience.
7. The persons in employment in Government/Semi Government Departments/ Autonomous
Organizations are required to get their applications forwarded through their employer or
the applicants should submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of
interview.
8. There is no application fee.
9. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the Test/Interview.
10. Last date of receipt of application will be 21 days from the date of publication of
