THOUGHTS FROM BRAD

January 28- This Wednesday night we will offer yet another
Dinner & a Movie event. All the fun begins at 5:15 as we enjoy a
Taco dinner together. After the dinner, you are encouraged to stick
around and watch a film based on the life of J. Oswald Chambers,
author of My Utmost for His Highest. The movie will be
followed by a brief Bible study. We are asking for a $2-3 donation
per person to cover the cost of the meal or $5 per family.
February 1- Fifth Avenue will host a brief luncheon immediately
following our morning service for those who have begun
worshipping with us during the past couple months. Our goal is to
answer questions you may have about the church, as well as
inform you of various ministries we offer. This is offered at no cost
to you. Please join us! I promise we wont bite. And of course,
thank you for making this church a part of your weekly life.
February 4- I just wanted each person at the Fifth Avenue Church
of Christ to understand you are invited for this annual
congregational meeting. Whether you are a member or not, please
come. We will begin at 6:15 p.m. and there will be pies and coffee
for all to enjoy. We will spend time reflecting on 2014 and talk as
well about 2015.
February 10- Mens Colossal Burger Night. We will begin at 6:00
p.m. During our evening of fun together, we will spend some time
talking through events for the year. I hope you can join us! Feel
free to bring a friend! I do ask that you let me know by February
1st if you plan to attend.

We want to express our sympathy to

Ralph Frank and his sons, Pete and
Jason, on the passing of Ralphs wife,
Cheri Frank. Ralph served as Youth
Minister here at Fifth Avenue in the early
1970s and many of our church family
still remember their family.
Please keep Ralph, Pete, and Jason in
your prayers as they go through this very
difficult time.

WELCOME TO FIFTH AVENUE!

At FACC, we focus on loving God, loving people,
and turning the world upside down.
We are happy you chose to worship with us today. We hope you
return next week and bring your friends with you. If you would
please take a few minutes to fill out a Silent Roll Call Card,
located on the back of the pew, you can then place it in the
offering plate as it is passed. Thank you. For more information
about our great church, contact our minister, Brad Seevers at
Brad@new-churches.org or call him at 740.550.9882. Have a
great week and may God bless your life.

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of
Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus
through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus
on Jesus through grace-based preaching and teaching
& understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy
3:16).

Church Health and Biblical Balance

Brad Seevers preaching

____________________________________________

Church health becomes reality when God's people

seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every
member to protect the unity of Christ's
Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)

____________________________________________

Global Evangelism

____________________________________________

We are constant to our founding call to worldwide

evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the
Savior, Healer, and Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).

Fellowship and Ministry

After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will
equip them to find a ministry based upon their
strengths. We want everyone to serve in some
capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His
church to be the living evidence of His love and power
to the world.

Discipleship

_____________________________________

We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth

Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all
about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily
relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In
other words, we want to see the things you are taught
actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.

Social Conscience

How Can I Respond Today?

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that
Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a
Christian.
Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation.
Turn (repent) from the sin in your life.
Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life.
Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and
to receive the Holy Spirit into your life.
To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during
our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized
believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on
Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further.
We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better
understand what you are committing to as a member. If you would like to
take a Curious class, please indicate this on your Silent Roll Call Card.

We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of

Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic
diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).

OUR PURPOSE
WE EXIST TO

Exalt Gods Greatness;

Evangelize Gods Work
Equip Gods People
Express Gods Love through Jesus Christ

OUR MISSION

To Love God and Love People!

LIBRARY SPOTLIGHT
Tell Me About Heaven by Randy Alcorn is a book for
elementary readers. Heaven is a place full of new
beginnings that never end, seeing God, reunions,
uninterrupted relationships, eating and drinking,
activities, worship, music, and joy. But its also a place
of mystery, especially for children. As Jakes fears and
questions about eternity are turned to wonder through
his conversations with his grandpa, any childs
excitement about Heaven should grow. Its powerful
message will help curious young hearts understand
that if they love Jesus, not only is there nothing to fear,
but the best is yet to come.
Brides O The Emerald Isle is an adult fiction book in our library.
When the little town of Ballymaras tourism is threatened by a
cynical journalist, Moyra Rose OCullen challenged him.
Tracing history back in time, she uncovers the roots of the local
legend of the pledging stone at the door to the chapel and
learns three stories of how her ancestors bonds of love were
formed over the ancient stone. Five hundred years after the
birth of Christ, Conn came to Ireland and encountered Druids.
But could his attempts at sharing his Christian faith be wrecked
by a woman on her own personal mission? Centuries later
Breanda has been abducted by brigands. When plans are
formed to rescue her, will her childhood love have to choose
between his clan and Breanda? After being jilted by one
American, Keely is bitter. But when a cowboy performing in
shows across nineteenth century Europe is injured and
dependent on her fathers help, can she open her heart to love
another American? After her journey through history, can
Moyra convince the modern world that the legends of love are
truth? Might she form her own match over the stone? These
legendary love stories span generations of a family in four Irish
novellas by Pamela Griffin, Vickie McDonough, Tamela
Hancock Murry, and Linda Windsor.

Stop by our library and pick up a good book! If you have any
questions about the library, contact Delores Payne.
