Oh Taliban!
Oh Taliban!
You know not what religion
means,
You know not what love and
peace is.
I am not sure how many of you are actually aware of the happiness you can often
witness while walking down the gravel in a park, surrounded by the loud, energetic
laughter of the families. It is this noise, not any kind of silence that presents you with a
moment of reflection. All the excitement sucked into that moment of self-recognition:
what you have done, what you wish you did and what you have become.
You can learn more in this walk than anywhere else. Yet in reality you are still simply
realizing what was there all along.

THE VOICE
Teachers
Q .Is peer pressure (in
academics) harmful or
beneficial to students?
B.VENKATESHULU (ECE):
Beneficial- Peer pressure
keeps the creativity alive and
makes one to excel.
-G.MEGHANA
THE VOICE
Peer pressure is certainly harmful to the
student's morale. Every person is unique and
cannot be compared to another person or
judged based on the performance of his/her
peers. When a child is inappropriately
compared with his classmates in terms of
marks and ranks, it tends to degrade his
confidence and eventually leads to lesser
quality of performance, which is actually the
opposite of the result intended. When a student
is pressurized by his classmates academic
performance, he/she might not always take it
the positive way and might totally give up
trying to do his best.
However it is also true that students need a
healthy dose of competition to keep them
going on the right track and eliminate lethargy,
and this implies that the importance of peer
pressure cannot be entirely ruled out.
-K.KALYANI
Students
Q .Is peer pressure (in
academics) harmful or
beneficial to students?
PRACHI MATHUR(IT):
Beneficial-Because positive peer
pressure motivates us to take up
activities which we wouldnt
otherwise.
SANJANA.M.S. (CSE):
Harmful- Because students are
pushed towards the behavior
that is risky or otherwise
destructive.
GAYATRI INGLE(ETM):
Harmful- because you are not

Getting admission in this college is one of the best things that happened
This taught me how to delegate work among people which has become
one of my major strengths, and I should definitely thank the college for
giving me this opportunity. I have secured 3rd place in poster
presentation for Smart Contact Lens at Spoorthi2k14 conducted at
associated with ISTE, the technical club of our college and this year I am
elected as the Vice President. I found myself more confident and better at
my managerial skills, after organising college level events and fests under
the guidance of esteemed faculty. The most memorable moment of my life
JNTUH. I Got 1st prize in poster presentation for the topic Automatic
Number Plate Recognition System and also for a paper presentation for
dream company Deloitte. I participated in and won quite a few paper and
the topic RFID based mobile payment system under IETE association at
conducted in other colleges and in GNITS under IETE and ISTE. I dont
then I would pursue MBA in a reputed college after which I would like to
mention. They have always given me the freedom to choose what I wanted.
Management is doing things right, leadership is doing the right things. Peter Drucker

This college has given me an opportunity to make myself better at every step
by giving the best guidance from the faculty. I have been the Secretary of
the Data about Data session conducted by JPMorgan and was fortunate to
a user interface, where users can give their own inputs and receive output
making it an effective way to learn DS. Learning can also happen online and
there are websites like Codecademy, edX, stack Overflow which helped me
learn a lot about the subjects of my interest like PHP. My parents have
by position that one has reached in life but by the obstacles one has
inspired me in a lot of ways. My teachers are my inspiration for the way they
have always taught me to strive for something much better in life. I am also
independent woman. I feel utter ecstasy after my good efforts have been
future I would love to do research in the subjects like Data Mining and
Engineering is all about how you think creatively, because in the outside
world its Innovation that matters. Go beyond the curriculum and start
for their future, explore all the possibilities ahead and have complete
implementing your own ideas in the form of a small project or so. Make the
best of it in these four years and do what you love and love what you do.
HIMASHALA (ETM-4/4)
GNITS is the place where I found my strengths and realised my dreams. I worked as a literary representative and as the student coordinator for paper
presentations in ISTE. Winning the first prize in the elocution competition conducted by the Ministry of Handlooms was a feather in my cap .I am proud to say
that I scored an academic aggregate of 90% and got placed in Infosys, Accenture, Tech Mahindra. As a Telecommunications student I have presented a paper on
Direct Broadcast Satellites in IGNIUM 2013. I am mostly into organising events and I enjoy taking up responsibilities. My advice to my juniors would be to think
beyond academics and develop a passion apart from the career path chosen. Do not get diverted from your goals due to mob mentality and persevere to reach
whatever heights you aim for in your subject of interest, whether it is music, dance or whatsoever. Most often we sit back and pull ourselves out of activities just
because we are afraid of missing classes, while in reality the class might not have been important. End of day , it all boils down to whatever you have achieved in all
these four years , because you never get the freedom or scope to achieve all this in the future. Keep participating in fests and activities and keep going ahead!!

Of late the society has become very unsafe for women. As we turn
on the TV, we see so many cases of women abuse. Equality among
both the genders is relatively better in the urban areas, where the
society is educated. Having said this, women do not feel safe on
the roads, while using the public transport. An incident of ogling
and misbehavior is a common sight on the roads. The condition is
deteriorating with each passing day in the country. A media report
would attract attention and widespread anger, but that vanishes
in a few days. The non-existence of foolproof and strict laws
enables the criminals to roam free in the society. It would take a
generations time to bring about change in the society regarding
its outlook towards women. It would mean working from the
grass root level. The society must change its view and behavior
towards women to have a safer society.

In India even in the 21st century, women cannot step out of their house at any given time, assured of her physical and sexual
safety. Violence against women is often a cycle of abuse that manifests itself in many forms throughout their lives. Even at
the very beginning of her life, a girl may be the target of female infanticide in cultures, where preference for son is prevalent.
During childhood, violence against girls includes forced malnutrition, lack of access to medical care and education, female
genital mutilation, early marriage, and bonded labor. Personal safety has become an issue of importance especially for
women... The society and the government which advices women what to wear, failed to give out a strong message to those
culprits who are involved in violence against women. Today India is listed as 4th dangerous country for women to live in. Is
this is the achievement we gift our motherland? Is this what we are going to gift to our daughters, friends, wives and
mothers? Raise your voice and join hands to curb this menace.
