protocols with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social
Welfare the Transitional Islamic State of Afghanistan.
ASCHIANA is dealing in assisting the war-affected street working children and the children providing them
education and other skill (vocational training) who are in distress.
Due to more than two decades of continued war, conflicts and civil disturbances in the country, whole country
was destructed. All infrastructures including education, health, agriculture, communications, construction,
industry, culture, irrigation, power plants and many others were vanished completely or partly.
The war and destructions have had severe bad effects on the people of the country. More than a million of the
people were killed, millions of people were internally and externally displaced, more than a million
inhabitants were disabled. Thousands of women became widows and a tremendous number of children
became orphans. Due to scarcity of employment opportunities, they have to send their children to the streets
to earn some income to take back home.

These people are very vulnerable and very poor. They need all

sorts of help. Their health condition needs attention of the humanitarian organization. They are confronted
by variety of diseases including communicable diseases threaten the children working on the streets. Since
they are poor, it is hard for them to attend to private doctors and clinics for medical care. Most of the people
due to reasons do not go to doctor, when they decide to go to the clinic or doctor, it is too late and the patient

expires. Most of the people due to poverty and low income, or lack of job are not able to secure medicine and
medical treatment for themselves and their family members. Therefore the poor returnee people including the
street working children need proper medical care. To avoid these needy and poor people and their families it

Goals
The project aims to provide a secure structure in the form of a permanent building to Aschiana where the
