COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:1. Use listening strategies in situations involving everyday work related communication
2. Interact in the context of realistic job-related situations by having discussions , giving and taking instructions
and role play.
3. provide information and express ideas orally
4. develop skills in preparing and delivering oral presentations
5. manage and solve problems.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course helps students develop the skills needed to communicate effectively at the workplace with emphasis on reading
strategies, analytical thinking, discussion and oral and written presentation.
English for Communication enables students to :

to learn English that is used in the workplace


to develop existing skills and make them more specific
This course is principally based on communication and the development of speaking skill enabling the learner to use the
language in various contexts and for various objectives. Cultural and intercultural aspects as well as the ability to learn
independently are all integral parts of this course. This course is also to acquaint the student with elements of decision making
and problem solving methods and techniques. Topics will include identifying and solving problem and methods to generate
solutions.
