Dear Friends,
We hope this New Year begins finding you refreshed by the celebration of Jesus'
coming to earth, and filled with expectation for the Lord to be revealing Himself as
you look to 2015. Our holidays have been very different than we had expected.
In December it was revealed to us that a series of events had occurred which have
brought trauma to our family. Due to the nature of this trauma, our organization,
Pioneers, has asked us to seek out the kind of care that will help us work through the
effects of these events both in the short-term and in the longer term. We remain
confident of the Lord's presence with us through all of this, and trust that He will
bear us through these days for His glory.
We are grateful for you, our partners in this ministry to the peoples of Papua. As you
have walked with us in the past, we are asking you now to walk with us through
these days in two significant ways:
Pray for us! Pray that His victory would overshadow any sorrow, and that
His glory would flow out of us, as His servants. We need wisdom for
upcoming decisions, grace as we interact with others, and His shepherd-care
to tend our hearts. Pray as well, that we would anticipate the kids' needs
and care for them well through this time.
Consider a gift to meet our financial needs through this time. Due to the
nature of this situation, our insurance won't cover travel or room and board
for us to get the needed care. We will probably need to make a few trips in
order to address these issues well. Would you please ask the Lord if He
would have you play a role in meeting these needs financially? You can give
through our normal accounts with Pioneers in Canada and the US.

to be held in the Multipurpose Room at Westbourne Place on
Sunday Jan. 18, 2015 at 6:30 pm.

The INSURANCE BUREAU OF CANADA has offered a grant to

assist with FEPI and our CERT training. With affirmation this
funding is forth-coming, Bridges of Love made the decision to offer
a 2 for 1 Registration to our church community. As with all our
events, we encourage out-reach to community members. If someone
wishes to attend from your church and bring an additional person
(either from church, friend or neighbour) there will be a discount of
50% for two registrations.
What an opportunity for the local church to make vital connections with
their neighbours. God is so good.

God will not permit any troubles to come upon us, unless He has a
specific plan by which great blessing can come out of the difficulty.
