Oxyfuel Equipment

for Steel Industries

The Original the Source of Safety

Adolf Messer GmbH, founded in 1898, developed the first oxyfuel
torches for welding and cutting. The company became the world-wide
renowned gas and welding technology manufacturer Messer
Griesheim GmbH. In 1999 the welding and cutting activities were
merged in the Messer Cutting Systems GmbH, and have been
integrated into the MEC Holding GmbH in 2000. In February 2005 the
MEC Holding GmbH became part of the Messer World.
Our oxyfuel equipment for the steel industries is suitable for all
demands of the steel mill and metallurgical industries, for scrap yards
and foundries. The extensive product range covers all requirements in
the field of hand cutting and hand scarfing.
Robust and sturdy design complies fully with the special demands
and safety rules in steel industries. Constant quality controls guarantee
optimum application features and maximum operator safety.
Long-time experience and continuing development strengthens our
position as market leader in this product segment.
It is our foremost objective to achieve maximum benefit for the
customer. We achieve this by using the knowledge of our customers
requirements, high technical competency and flexible, innovative
products. We take the highest quality measures as a necessity,
already since 1991 subjecting all company processes to quality
monitoring in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.

The tables indicate standard values based on the use of plain steel with a carbon content of up to 0.3 % and oxygen with a minimum
purity of 99.5 %.
Satisfactory cuts on cleen and crack-free workpieces can only be achieved with undamaged nozzles and suitable flame cutting machines.
The given cutting speeds are valid for cold material and are to increase depending the work-piece temperature by hot cuts.
The pressures stated are gauge pressures measured at the torch inlet. The consumption data indicated in m3/h apply to the standard
condition as per DIN 1343.

Powder Distributor

P 75

Powder distributor P 75
Powder distributors serve to feed iron powder or
iron/aluminium powder mixtures to the powder cutting
units. The powder is ignited in the cutting/scarfing
oxygen stream, thus providing increased heat. By means
of this additional heat stainless and heat-resistant steels,
cast iron and a number of non-ferrous metals can be cut.
The powder distributor P 75 with cyclonic powder
mixing system, pressure regulator, oil trap and air drying
unit are used to supply our SMB 600/663 hand cutting
torches with powder attachment, AC 41 powder hand
cutting torches and MSP 3320/200 machine cutting
torches.
Connections:
Inlet G RH-6 for compressed air, oil-free and dry
Outlet G & RH-6 for powder
